Why are people acting like because the Wii U was a flop Nintendo is done? Do people not realize while the Wii U was flopping their handheld console was selling 60 million simultaneously? I bet these are the same people that forget that Microsoft makes very little money from the Xbox or that the PS4 has pretty much saved Sony from becoming dust. Every analyst predicted the Wii U was gonna be a flop before it even came to market, and all those analyst predict the Switch will sell around 20+ million by year 2 overtaking sales of the Xbox.

PS4 also has a 60 million userbase and Switch/Wii U is under 15

which is the better game tho

he knew that tho son was just being a dikkhead thats common sense how a console with a 60 million user base that has a triple A game droppin not sell more than a game/console with only a 2 million user base

Why they boast about stuff like this but hide the numbers is weird.

Also them selling a lot out of the gate means nothing if in a few months sales slow to a crawl. They have to keep this up long-term

Lets see what the sales are like in 3 years when all those third party devs who 'promised' to make games for the Switch disappear in the wind

I find it to be the opposite. I bought Horizon and played it a bit and when Zelda came out it got shelved. Zelda is the kind of game where you can just spend hours roaming around exploring and accomplish next to nothing and not even mind. It is very much a special game and it's one of the best games I've ever played period and I'm saying this as a person that's more into story and pretty indifferent to open worlds in gaming. Horizon is probably more my style of game but I can't even bring myself to play it when I could be progressing in Zelda instead.

You do realize that the 3DS is their worst selling portable by a lot don't you? The 3DS is like 16 million behind their second worst selling handheld the GBA. The DS and Gameboy are both well over 100 million sold. To put it into perspective the 3DS didn't even sell half what it's predecessor the DS sold.

why u worrying bout sales ? when nothing that drops is outselling the ps4 what u really mad at is that zelda scored higher on metric than zero dawn...stop mentioning sales cuz anybody with an ounce of common sense knows nothing is gonna outsell the 4

Switch sold 45k units at launch in Spain

The Switch have now the record of the fatest selling console at launch (3 days) in Spain, previously holded by the PS4 (45k vs ~37k), Lock if old.


- 50000 units shipped, 90% sell-through (45000 units)
- PS4 sold through 37000 units at launch, 80000 during the first two weeks
- Zelda BotW almost has a 100% attach rate, which has not been seen before on the Spanish market
