It’s quite disconcerting how black folk don’t seem to understand the power of perception. Saying you are proud to be black implies you believe black to be all the worst stereotypes and that you have to validate yourself to others. And be honest with yourself. You say this because africa has not portrayed itself in redeeming light. I get that. But better believe you wouldn’t be talking that mess if africa had at least one first world country to boast about.

I have no problem with the delineation. I am not sure Black will be enough either, because people will state they are Black American too, sliding in when they want to, and then separating when they no longer want to. Though I use Black American for myself, I understand the weak barrier is is to outsiders hijacking our identity for their own purposes.
We need to pick an us only term and stick with it

"Divisive" = "let me eat off you without contributing anything to you."

So, the people screaming "divisive" are usually the same folk that divided themselves from their people back home.
Piggybacking era is coming to an end

Like a child who's been spoonfeed their whole life when daddy finally decides to cancel the credit card, they lash out. They think he's being mean and resent him for it.

Hold ya own nuts era has begun. Their gonna get the full American experience they told us we were whining about. :skip:
