negative, IMO the rest of the world just caught up, and began to compete. The majority of the economic sectors in America were not prepared for international competition, and I think many federal regulations reflect that.basically since Reagan, the country has de-industrialized, taxes were cut dramatically, and the rich ruling class have benefitted from numerous policies that have erased what created the most financial equality in this country from the time of FDR to the 1970s
you could make it in America if you worked hard... and really prosper decades ago
