I’m not surprised the Caribbean is in the blue. My dad (Haitian) was teaching me 4th grade math at 6. Nikkas always thought I was a genius in math but it was more so of me learning the shyt before them.

Yea I visited a school while in Cuba. They were doing order of operations in 2nd grade. That's not taught until like 5th/6th in the states

As a dude that's strong in math I've seen people struggle with basic arithmetic here as adults, let alone algebra...I don't know how it is now but the last math needed here to graduate is Algebra 2, hell in some cases they'll even let you out with Algebra 1. My pops was learning Algebra in elementary school

Wonder if there is any correlation between lack of logic and propoganda.

I didn’t feel I was good at math until I got to the 10th grade, went all that time think I was terrible at math. Until I had a teacher who broke that shyt down for me. I was doing so well. She would tell me to teach the class.

it makes sense. kids in china are doing calculus by like grade 5. meanwhile in america, new math was developed to make math sexier...cause kids cant learn math from underpaid and overworked teachers

:ohhh:

For some reason my carribeam folks had a much better grasp on math than Americans.

But my school district did some bullshyt. When I graduated from middle school we went from doing algebra, geometry, light trig formulas then all of sudden 9th grade they went only word problems . I just couldn't grasp it during that transition.

Anyone who went to NYC public high-school, yall remember those purple math books? I don't know if every school district did it but they fukked me up with the word problems because I was only used to doing straight math formulas.
