I don't see it going anywhere. Sadly.

Lowkey it's ruining rap. And R&B.

There are great producers and tracks. But its stagnation is hindering hip-hop's growth.

It killing black music as a whole. Black artists are being forced to be in a box and catering everything for the club.

I can't wait until it dies. It's been around for too long.

R&B should come back. I think songs like Drake's hotline bling will be popular. Music that sounds like the early 2000s.

Hopefully more black female artist will come out, maybe some girl groups. I think there will def be a few black girl groups that will come out in the next couple of years.
People want the trap sound to still be the same in the year 2022. :dwillhuh:

The same beats, same song structure, same topics. It's like gangsta rap post 2004: still being pushed hard, but people are down for something new.

Half the time, their fans can't understand a word that Young Thug or Future be saying. You couldn't even do karaoke of them songs cause they mumble too much. :russ:

no, its not going anywhere. future's big as ever, and he def is a trap artist. that codeine xanax (heavily associated with trap music) wave big as ever.

i remember back in 2009 nikkas said the trap music wave was gonna die within a year LOL

why do you nikkas want this shyt go away so bad? is it that you dont like it n you think steadily saying its dying ACTUALLY MEANS ITS DYING? what the fukk is wrong with you nikkas, serious question....

it will like everything else....but i hope all music evolves into something better organically . plus i hope the next wave/gen comes wih distinct variety from each region again.

and we as fans have to stop supporting copy cat artist in hip hop. or it will never stop.:manny:
