Yep, just like 50 Cent post The Massacre....gradual slope to obscurity. Cats believe that they gonna be listening to trap the same way in 2030 AD. :dead:

50 was already falling off by then, trap got bigger in 2016. Even older rappers are starting to get into trap. 50 is making trap songs and Jay went death of autotune to i got the keys.:sas2:

I produce and I work with a semi known trap producer.
I rap because I'm nice. What I do and what potential clients do are different.
Also, a lot of them can really rap.
Melody is a skill. Flows are crazy now.
Name a new rapper who can really rap that talks about street shyt doing numbers.
Ain't none.
Black Beatles was number 1.
Bad and boujee is #1 now.
No Roc machine. No interscope.
No kissing babies at protests.
No subliminal diss songs at convenient times...just hot tracks and a viral vid.

Well, they cater to thots and people that listen to Drake aka no integrity. Strip club songs and beats killed off that fire that made black music, especially Hip Hop, so great. Catering to the lowest common denominator for "melody" just makes tracks disposable.

Threadstarter said that 2017 is when people begin to wake up, and by 2018 people will openly rebel it.

Re up this thread December 31st 2018, and see what lies ahead.

Melody has always been in hip hop. When looking at the biggest songs of the past, melody has always been a major factor. A mojority of hits have been very melodic.:pachaha:

But today has melody without the lyrics. Why say any rap song good when the quality of the lyrics are omitted and push for hooks harder than ever?

nikka the shyt is finna happen. i said 2018 in the OP. its atop the billboard you can turn on pop radio stations and hear white people over trap beats.

the same thing happened with disco. it bled to other genres and had people blowing up disco records at a baseball field and had people having disco bonfires. :russ:
