The song is a watered down pop song based on the Trap sound. As I said already, the Trap sound is everywhere:ehh:
Its like people in this thread havent been paying attention in the past five years.

Katy Perry, Justin bieber, and miley cyrus have all made tracks that have trap styled productions.

You have edm producers like and diplo that tour around the world off of that and the styles of people of color in general making massive amounts of money touring and producing for artists. More than those artists that made those styles that cant even tour outside of the tristate or their own state.

Trap aint going nowhere...they just gonna whitewash the shyt to sell it to white people in middle america that hate n!ggas but love rap and r&b.

Once Adele makes a trap joint...its a wrap!

Slim Jesus an industry plant.
They pushing G-Eazy hard.
They pushing this Hoodie Allen kid hard.
They not even trying to hide the fact they are trying to absorbs trap and turn white rappers into pop crossover stars that have their music played everywhere while music from blck artists is just relegated to a niche genre on consolidated radio stations.

Hip-hop itself will outlast any sound or artist within it, and history has proven that... so it's not the end of the world. Eventually, there'll be something else and everybody'll get tired of that too once it becomes the dominant sound. I gotta say, though, it will be a lot more enjoyable when these beats start getting a lil' faster. These 65-75 beat per minute shyts are a drag after awhile, breh.

I was in the club for the first time in maybe 6 months over the weekend, and 'Trap nikkas' came on, and the girl I was with, (24 and a 'good girl', college, good job) started throwing it up to that shyt.....She's like 'Do YOU like this kind of rap' and I am sitting there laughing, like of course....It doesn't seem to be going anywhere, when niche target demographic songs gain universal appeal....there is NO reason why someone like her, or have the other nerds in the club would like that song, but there they are...'god blessing all the trap nikkas'

EDM is just a more corporate push to make dance music mainstream and marketable to young americans.

The trap edm thing was basically an extension of dubstep and southern rap having that same sound and eventually fusing together around 2008-2010.there are some dope producers extending the infuence of that so7nd those currently.

EDM is slowly but surely becoming a fad too. Those kids that liked Deadmau5 and above and beyond are moving on to either techno or deep house. Cause edm... (more like electro house/trance/trap/dubstep) is pretty much for kids. House and techno is for the grown ups.

Agree, but EDM is really just a generic word, what I consider EDM might not be EDM to someone else, for example I've never even listened a Deadmau5 track...I got to EDM through dubstep and moombathon then moved to the "edm trap" (for lack of a better word)

This is some stuff that I consider "EDM", I might not even be using the term right :pachaha:

This trap shyt is dying.

It'll be out of here by 2018

2017 it'll be frowned upon

Labels about to look for a different sound to push.

Thats thanks to nikkas like j cole and kendrick.

J cole went plat no promo they see that shyt can get pushed

Kendrick although TPAB is underappreciated at the moment people will look back and see the impact it will truly have.

Trap is cool for the clubs i get that but outside of there its really not enjoyable. Its forgettable. This whole era has bred 0 classics. 0 0 classic albums. 0 classic beats 0 classic tracks. 0 legendary producers shyt is horrible.

Where the hell is sonny digital?
nikka making beats for a transgendered anita baker sounding nikka makkonen.

This the worst era rap has seen since the early 80s where nikkas was sounding like they was yelling into the mic through a bedroom window and the mic was in the kitchen :snoop: (thank god for rakim)

You gotta go through bad to get to good. What ever comes next will be the best era ever

I can't wait until it dies. It's been around for too long.

R&B should come back. I think songs like Drake's hotline bling will be popular. Music that sounds like the early 2000s.

Hopefully more black female artist will come out, maybe some girl groups. I think there will def be a few black girl groups that will come out in the next couple of years.

If youre talking about the generic lex luger trap sound that started early 2010s then i doubt it. People still eat it up in the mainstream. I thought it would be dead a few years ago but once the most popular rappers and pop stars started to use thst sound it wasnt gonna go away so quickly.
