Brooklyn keeps on taking it.
They mimicked other regions/artists waves to get to the top :francis:

A boogie yes. Cardi B nope! Cardi B talks and sounds like she takes a piss in a Bronx project hallway!

And as far as A boogie goes he is a smart man. Don’t bytch about NY cats not upgrading their flow and get mad at A boogie for doing just that.

Obviously the fans love him!

I mean, trap is the dominant sound by artists all over the country so you can't single out New York artists for using it. What are they supposed to be do, make songs with boom bap production that won't get any airplay?

Normally, when white people get a hold of a style or a sub genre, black folk would abandon it with the quickness. Like the "bling bling" terms or the Snoop Dogg "For shizzle my nizzle" sub language.

But it looks like white folks have trap all on their songs and commercials for products on TV now, but black folks still hold on to that played out style. :francis:

That never happened before, and proof that black folk stagnated in innovation and moving onto something new. We adopted that feminine mindset that innovation and taking on something bold or new is "lame"

TRAP aint going no where because Its provides the CHEAPEST BUSINESS MODEL of any genre of music...

The record companies are having a field day having to invest very little money for big returns....

The trap artists have become the prime targets for 360 deals with little resistence

Trap production is a minimilist task void of having to utilize big budgets for sample clearences

Trap Artists cut their losses of having to pay a real singer to sing hook or chorus because they have Autotune

Many of the sublabels and imprints such as QC. . and 1017 do most of the legwork while the Majors just ride the wave

The Trap Artists are so passionate about chasing the "bag" that they have become "whores" for all types of marketing schemes and product placement

The FX TV show illustrated that perfectly with the Yoohoo trap commercial

It's already gave birth to spin off sub genres such as Trap Soul.. Thot Hop and Trap Gospel

With the Economy the way it is it's created a cess pool of aspiring artists more concerned with Commerce than Culture

trap been dead, trap is the young jeezy, shawty red, zayton mid 2000s types of beats, which the last of it was Lex Lugar's era where he mixed that trap sound with three six mafia crunk music

This new beats are closer to drill music than trap, buts not even that, its just electronic music, its not real hip hop

that's why you see pop and edm with same drum patterns, same snare rolls, every beat is the same because of COMPUTER SOFTWARE

all these producers are using the same sound kids same software, most of them ain't even making the beats themselves they just mis and matching pre made beats from sound kits you can get royalty free lmao

the shyt has become a hustle its not about talent or who's good

Back in the day just anybody couldn't do music, if you went into the guitar center and got an mpc and triton keyboard, 90 percent of time your beats were garbage because you didn't have any musical talent

and even back then when they had the loop on CDs and Vinyl, you had to be skilled at using analog equipment in order to use those resources which was too complicated for most people

now anybody can and copy paste loops on whatever software, they got modules that will literally create a beat for just by holding down one key and you can just play with the settings

that's why none of the music has soul anymore

It's still the dominant subgenre now, but I do think it might die out by the end of this year. I have a theory that subgenres often die hard in the last year of a decade. Psychedelic rock in 1969, disco in 1979, hair metal in 1989.

What I don't know is what will replace it.

Its not going to die bc its too easy to produce....the artists are more easily manipulated...its easier for non-blac ppl to replicate(a lot of the top trap producers are young cacs)

Ppl been saying its going to fall off for damn near 10 yrs but like it or not its here to stay. Even if a new sound comes in, its not gonna b the classic boombap that so many ppl want to return...that will never return to full prominence

Do y’all not know how the music industry works? :mjlol:

Trap will remain popular until a new musician comes along with a style the industry can exploit. Usually it’s tied to technological innovation, that’s what gets sounds to change and new styles to emerge. (Electric guitars spawned rock, samplers and drum machines spawned hip-hop, fruity loops and auto tune spawned trap.)

Yes, females are notoriously known for being stagnant conservatives. :mjlol:

Tf are you talking about. I guess everything perceived as ‘negative’ is now related to women on thecoli. :mjlol:
