The Trey Lance hate is ridiculous.

I can never cheer for a young brother failing. I know there's nikkaz in here rooting against this cat. The door is closing on his career but maybe he'll get a shot some day.
he needs to play somewhere desperately to just get to that "vet backup" level. I think if he goes to canada and plays there for entire year, all games, maybe two years...does half-decent, hed get a good chance back off pedigree and potential improvement. At the very least he can likely carve out a Josh Dobbs like career

There's no excuse for trading 3 1st round picks for a project...then doing nothing with him. Pats got lucky with Brady too.
What are your thoughts on Richardson? From what I read. Dude played 9 games in high school and 10-20 in college, then 4 last year.

How do these GMs keep their jobs drafting players with little experience so high? Is a few games and being physical enough?

I wish Richardson good luck. Hopefully he has what he needs around him and puts in the work to be a decent QB.

I haven’t read the thread but I think Lance is QB3 and most teams don’t carry three quarterbacks. If he didn’t get cut Jerry is keeping him to save face. The kid doesn’t have experience and pulled out at the best time.

Hopefully he saved as much money as he can and find something he will enjoy for the rest of his life. Dude made 29Ms so far in his life. Half goes to taxes, agent, manager so 15Ms should be good for life if he parks 10Ms somewhere and lives off the 7% interest.

If he can't get any meaningful playing time, he might as well get that resume ready.

Have not seen enough of him play, but he was a risky pick given his lack of experience. If you're going to draft these projects high you have to give them the time to develop. But he's just like Trey where he got hurt early and that stunted his development. Good luck to him.

There isn’t a difference

They traded four draft picks for him and he is now a third string QB in year four. He is one of the biggest busts ever.
I look at it like when the Cavs took Anthony Bennet first. Yes he's considered a bust, but the reality is he never should've been taken that high in the first place and given first overall pick expectations. So I lean more to dumb ass pick than Lance being a bust as he should've been taken later given his inexperience and not have been given those high of expectations in the first place.

I can see that, but I consider Anthony Bennett a major bust as well.

When you get drafted that highly and within four years are fighting to stay in the league, you are a bust.

That doesn't absolve the 49ers for picking him.

Trey Lance's only hope if he wants to stay in the league is to go to a bad team where he can compete or at least stay a back up/developmental prospect the next couple of years. Two things he has on his side is his youth and athleticism.

No he didn’t deserve the hate…. But he wasn’t “him”

Who the fukk blatantly lied to this cat and convinced him that any NFL team was going to view him as a possible starter this offseason? :dahell:

Ol' "You a former first round pick. Of course someone wants to give you a chance" head ass. :mjlol:
