If a victim claims rape is a 'private matter', then obviously no crime occurred. If it's for fear of reprisal, I think that's bullshyt also. If a woman is randomly attacked on the street by someone she doesn't know, why wouldn't they report it? They don't know each other. If it was someone she was dating and whatnot, the odds are she fukked him but just regretted it after, hence not a rape. Fear of 'reprisal' isn't a good reason for not reporting a crime against your person. And again, for the last time, when were these 'victims' talked to so this information could even be obtained?Nah...

Most rape victims are raped by people they already know, so your analogy doesn't work.
The Bureau of Justice Statistics did a survey on violent crimes. You think all these victims (rape or otherwise) are just making it up? What reason would they have had to lie?

Okay...let's go with the assumption that most women are raped by people they know. I think that's true for the most part. Now, the woman is scared of this guy, right? the way to find out data is to do SURVEYS of groups of the population. organizations all across the country and all across the world do it every day. if victims feel that they are safe responding to a survey they will most likely tell the truth about their experiences. these studies can be collected and tallied and would have nothing to do with the justice system which has FOREVER been stacked against women the same way it is stacked against the poor and against minorities.
i understand everyone here wants to be some kind of Jedi Pimp King spouting this #HOH nonsense but the fact that you think sexual assault isn't happening every single day in every single town in america i don't know what to tell you. someone i know who has sexually assaulted MORE THAN FIFTEEN women over the years has just been exposed to others in my community for the horrible things he has done. and guess what? no one knew because none of the victims were willing to come forward because they thought they would be shamed and disbelieved. a woman who was RAPED by this same dude was ashamed to come forward. and guess what? he's not in jail.
you know why? there's no physical evidence. a rape kit has to be done within ten hours of contact. the justice system makes it almost impossible to prove a victim's story if they aren't prepared to go to the police RIGHT THAT SECOND presumably with DNA still on them from their fukking SEXUAL ASSAULT.
so fukk you. think about your mothers, sisters, and female friends. 1 in 3 women are sexually assaulted in their lifetime and it doesn't get reported because women are afraid to come forward.
