I've been hearing a lot from black women saying they aren't protected , this isn't a bash thread but I want these women to realize something men have known for awhile now. Protection ain't free, it doesn't come as a standard feature just because you're a woman and just because I'm a man. That be like me expecting submission from every woman I come across.

Protection is reserved for family, wives, girlfriends and those in need of protection as I deem it.

No man can protect a woman from herself. The problem with the sentiment that all black men need to protect black woman is that it's fundamentally taking a patriarchal approach to a world that doesn't value men for being patriarchs , but I guess patriarchy is ok as long as it's the benevolent kind , furthermore , it's a misnomer to assume all black women support black men by default, there are plenty of outliers who can attest to this baseless presumption.

As a man, defending every woman's honour is a costly and foolish endeavor, shootout to Merlin Santana. Furthermore, if Meg truly wanted , then it would probably make the most sense for (and other women) to pursue relationships with men who are protectors. Think of an actor, bodyguard, military contractor, lawyer, etc. Or some kind of man with a good track record of treating women. Her dating record suggest otherwise, you can't help being attracted to who you like, but there are always red flags.

I've noticed that women choose men like Mr. Lanez for certain reasons, Mr. Lanez is not a patriarchal man in the sense of being a traditional protector/provider, I understand that Tory Lanez is the fun time guy, you can smoke all the weed, do all the coke, twerk all day and be as free and ratchet as she wants to be around him, whereas other men who are serious about wives would judge her and check her for being a "hot girl" . However, you can't expect Mr. Lanez to be something he never was, and she chose him for that reason, because she wanted a Bobby brown for her Whitney. Except Bobby actually loved Whitney. This is just a no strings attached arrangement from a non patriarchal inclined man.

Expecting that is not so radical at all. It be like a black men exclusively dating women who frequently exchange their bodies for currency and then complaining about gold diggers and whores, it's nonsensical.

There's some truth in your statement. The problem today is a lot of these hoes, just aren't traditional, yet they want to be treated as such...:yeshrug:

They want to be catered to, charmed 24/7, financially secured, and protected. But in the next instance, the chick wants to debate you back & forth, be an attention whore, and put up resistance about making a ngga a sandwich, or providing a back-rub...:unimpressed:

Dudes (including myself) can take some level of accountability, because we might gas em initially, into thinking their wifey or a princess, to reach a goal...but as far as I'm concerned, a lot of dudes go into situations open-minded (w/ the potential to wife something). Men are loyal to a fault, once their mind is set. They've become jaded by these non-traditional females. Society would lead you to believe its 100% men, that can't be trusted.

9x outta 10....it was an untrustworthy female (always tryin to court attention or be slick), that turned that trustworthy man, into the wolf/dog, he is today. A female gets what she gives me. I'm too seasoned, not to peep your character. PLUS, my mom was traditional AF (Claire Huxtable status), so I know a good woman, when I see one. I may play along wit the ruse to pass the time (cuz thats just the nature of the game today), but they'll eventually be treated accordingly, once I peep the fukshyt...:manny:

These broads be thinkin a ngga owe them being a "white knight". :camby:

Thats reciprocated.

This may not be what you’re focusing on in regards to black women claiming to be unprotected but when I think of it, the main thing that comes to mind is childbirth.

I know for me, I’m getting tired of seeing black women die at a disproportionate rate from childbirth due to a lack of care in hospitals and from midwives. I recently saw a video of a youtuber who was only 24 years old (8 months pregnant) and died from a heart attack. She complained to her midwife about having shortness of breath, but it was pretty much dismissed. Now she and her child are gone. Her boyfriend, a black man, was devastated, but there was really nothing he could do. They relied on the right people and still she and her child lost their lives. This is a constant thing that’s been happening for years and mainly affects black women because they do not take the concerns of black women seriously until it’s too late.

That’s where the lack of protection needs to be focused. It’s not black men’s fault. It’s the racism and discrimination in the Medical field towards black women that needs attention.

I’m seriously getting tired of seeing this and honestly makes me scared to even have children.

Funny coming from women who spent 20 years on some “nikkas ain’t shyt”, “I’m an independent woman”, “treat us equally, I can do everything you can.”

If you want to be protected, you need to open yourself up to be protected.

Don’t wait until your life is in danger to switch to the damsel in distress.

There’s nothing wrong with admitting we need each other.
