The truth of used games and Xbox One

I'm not talkin bout hardcore gamers...I'm talking bout CORE FANBASE...or at least people who actually like to play fukkin videogames....lol...I said cater to the CORE FANBASE first and foremost...THOSE people are gonna be the paying customers in the grand scheme of things in the long run....no one said dont fukk wit the casual market at all..I'm saying don't make it the MAIN FOCUS...and Sony lost money cause they tried to put too much in one pot at once..and they complicated things for themselves by making the system kinda hard to develop for..lack of games in the beginning as well...in the meantime tho...they ended up LEARNING from their mistakes and the system is a success...I don't know why u keep actin like its a flop for some shyt...it's right on par with Xbox 360 as far as sales go.....the PS4 is very gaming centric from what I see so far and it adds the other stuff as a bonus...the other stuff isn't the main focus...and shouldn't be..it should add on to the experience..not overpower it...

We can't sustain the industry on our own. The dichotomy that the industry faces is that the casual/non-gamer holds all the money and the CORE FANBASE holds all the passion. The company that is successful going forward will be the one who convinces the market with the money that it is a good investment AND satisfies the market that has the most passion. In my opinion it's selfish for gamers to jump in the way and tell these companies they are wrong for appealing to the money. We want to play we either need to pay more or embrace other monetary streams for the industry.

It lost money. No matter how you feel about it. Companies are not in business to loose money. Success is not about how many units sold, it's about how much money is made.

Would you buy an Xbox One for $800 and spend $80-$100 per game, if you didn't have to put up with "entertainment" features and DRM?

basically it's just the ability to buy and sell digital downloads, I hope MS creates there on ebay type store on XBL it'll destroy gamestop. I'd imagine MS/Publishers would get a cut on digital download resells

Son...the reason they are willing to sell systems at a loss is cause they sell the software...and why the fukk would they have to sell the games at 80-100 when the systems have pc architecture?..do PC games cost that much?...none of these consoles coming out right now are better than high end PC's...so cut the shyt...Microsoft charges for Xbox Live...these companies sell incomplete games for 65 and then turn around and charge u for downloadable content...Microsoft invested 400 million in some NFL shyt for the system...and the shyt basically won't even work in most countries outside of the U.S..tell me how that benefits GAMING?...half the features if the system can't be used outside of North America...tell me how that benefits GAMING?..always online...tell me how that benefits GAMING?..can't let ur friend borrow a game...tell me how that benefits GAMING?..putting certain videogames retail outlets in risk of going out of business cause of this used gaming policy...tell me how that benefits GAMING?..cant rent games or try before u buy...tell me how that benefits GAMING?..if I PAY MY HARD EARNED money on a console to play VIDEOGAMES...GAMING has to be the MAIN priority...same way I won't buy a fukkin tv to listen to music...if it has great music options and speakers...that's a BONUS..but that fukkin picture quality better be superb...or the shyt is NOT a great TV....u can go ahead and let these companies rape ya pockets..not me..I been gaming too long..u sittin here actin like fukkin Microsoft is some poor company...nikka please...it's fukkin MICROSOFT dog...what they doin...is using their Xbox customers to fight their other battles..and it's not right..and if Sony pulls anything like this shyt...it's staying on the shelves as well...there's nothing else left to be said...I'm done with it..

Breh, I agree with some of your points but i always wonder wth do you capitalize some full words , some first words and not others .

And we don't know if renting games will not be possible. they might have their own renting game service.

the PS3 ate through all the profits Sony made on the PS2 and more last i heard. it was a failure from a money making standpoint. they lost billions of dollars on it.
