Trombone

We can hold down the chords, play the melody, or be the bass :wow:

Plus we got all the band bytches. Trombone players too P
Brass players are pretty cool too.

The only part I don't like is cleaning the spit valve.

On a guitar you can change the strings. Keyboard you get a piece of cloth or something and wipe the dust off that might build up occasionally.

And being a trombone player, we’re always situated at the top of the band. The baritone players better hope the wind wasn’t blowing in the wrong direction that day when we emptied our spit valves

that tjader's leyte is smooth than a muhfucca.
been listening all morning to tjader.
rep for putting me on.

vibraphone is certainly a cool niche instrument. would say cello is my favorite followed by a roaring virtuoso piano.

What this mean?
Issa bad take.
Marimbas OD underutilized in music.
Used in the right way in a song and mix, it makes other instruments pop.
Put it in the rhythm section and write for it to pin down the chords using shell, and open voicings and bury it in the mix.
You enhanced the bass without a piano. The mallet hits on the marimba are going to punch up the bass and add rhythmic complexity for the drummer to play with. It's hard to feature a marimba or vibes without using them to complement other instruments. Give 'em to the rhythm section and a producer that know what they doing. Pair the vibes under the piano and do the same thing, or something similar with a marimba like for the bass.

Vibes forward, marimba back. Bury the marimba in the rhythm tracks, keep the vibes above the marimba in the mix.

Instruments are expensive as fukk dawg thats probably one reason I was looking at calliopes (them instruments you hear at fares/carnivals. I always liked how those sounded) them thangs going for upwards of 10,000 like wtf, USED. Hell a a good bassoon will cost you about 4k, and thats cheaper compared to what the normally go for.
yo i just googled this just look like some expensive shyt :lolbron: not like you can just cop a mass produced chinese version
