Issa bad take.
Marimbas OD underutilized in music.
Used in the right way in a song and mix, it makes other instruments pop.
Put it in the rhythm section and write for it to pin down the chords using shell, and open voicings and bury it in the mix.
You enhanced the bass without a piano. The mallet hits on the marimba are going to punch up the bass and add rhythmic complexity for the drummer to play with. It's hard to feature a marimba or vibes without using them to complement other instruments. Give 'em to the rhythm section and a producer that know what they doing. Pair the vibes under the piano and do the same thing, or something similar with a marimba like for the bass.
Vibes forward, marimba back. Bury the marimba in the rhythm tracks, keep the vibes above the marimba in the mix.
