Moreso, 3rd had that vibe as well but at least they could claim Brooklyn and Queens before it was cool.

This was my fav joint from them:

I remember Serch used to DJ on the hottest radio station in Detroit. One thing I liked was , If you was an artist or DJ you couldn't set foot up there without showing your skills. He made everybody get busy somehow, someway. Even his co-host could flow. I remember Proof got ate up by Foolish (comedian&DJ on the show) Then one day he just disappeared. next thing I know he has the White Rapper show... Pete Nice was always cool as hell too. Serch always struck me as a clown. while Pete just always seemed more 'bout it.

* As far as Hammer. I remember at the height of his success my friends Mom got us all tickets to go to his concert. A coupled days later I lied and said I had to attend a funeral. When they came back, my boy was like " You missed out, It was mad females there." Me::manny:

Maaan fukk Hammer ol' dancing for chicken ass. I'm still mad till this day that the Detroit Bad Boys adopted Cant Touch This as their theme song.

Center self, inner self
I remember when Serch used to post on The Coli. He dissed Pac, some poster started going in on him for dancing on a pizza in the one video, and then he stopped posting.

3rd Bass was one of my favorite groups at one point. Them cats look depressingly flabby and sick in that Sway interview footage.
Whoa, what?

Im bout to ask Ra about this shyt TODAY if I can get a hold of him...lol..
The story went, the label asked them to write it for Rakim, Rakim got wind of it and was furious and Eric B called them and told them Ra would be doing it himself or something.

Yeah. His name was Zyce or some shyt. He went back and forth with a poster in a 3rd Bass thread with mad vigor and inside info. Finally admitted he was Serch over PM. Then a week later I saw him posting in a thread, shytting on Pac (I remember very clearly: some cat was posting positive shyt about Pac and Serch came through and referenced Pac getting shot and killed and said "Pac wasn't strong enough" in a really snide way) and some poster went in on that dude. Called him fat, corny, told him he had an embarrassing Jewish flattop... Never saw Zyce post again.

Word Serch and Nice were both very underatted, I find it odd that the Beastie Boys wouldn't let them in the group but honestly it was for the best they were far better rappers than those dudes. The Cactus Album is still one of my personal favorites.

Serch is wack & always came across as trying too hard to be down. Attempting to shyt on the Beastie boys shyt kind of summarizes his existence, along with that embarrassing white rapper show.
