Even those areas are not as bad as they used to be compared to 20 years ago. Sorry but Brooklyn isn't what it used to be. New Yorkers always thinking their area is the hardest until they go to somewhere like Bridgeport or Newark and get the shock of their life. They say how safer they feel in NYC right until they get some money or start a family, they are ready to move to the north jersey suburbs or down south.
