Look at these people^

 Totally oblivious to what's poppin.

Whatever The Trilogy sold do you realise it was music that was available for free for ages and he toured the worth off the strength of it.

Niqqas arguing if he's going to blow? :wtf: I can only put this down to ignorance.

Do you niqqas realise he has sold out the biggest venues worldwide before he even did an interview? Do you realise that isn't normal?

the point of the matter is can he translate it to commercial success. i DOUBT it.

and that's exactly what my point is. if he wants to blow up, he has to change his shyt to appeal to the masses. that's just the way it is. he better hurry up though. it's an open market. his buzz isn't going to last forever. he should have been put his album out eons ago

i can tell you that he most definitely is kidding himself if he thinks he's gonna come through looking like some fiend thinking he's gonna blow up.

There's no point in even arguing this.

People like this don't really see what's happening until the first week numbers are in their face. If somebody buzzin isn't obvious in terms of being all over the radio they won't quite grasp it. Same kind of threads were made about Kendrick.

He's one rung below a star, but he's getting there. He'll become a star when he gets that hit, career-making single

Looks at your screen name and sig and realize there is no way you can be objective about this topic.

This is the problem with people.. always wanting artists to change who they are, because it isn't in line with what everyone else is doing. It's commendable that Weekend is a highly successful artist who stayed true to himself and didn't care that his sound was different or that his look was awkward.. why sound like another Chris Brown or Miguel when you can have your own sound, be a breath of fresh air to the genre, all while selling a ton and being respected and having great connections and features on other artists shyt?

Like I say all the time on this site. I hate when stans let their fanboyness blind their objectivity. Nothing the thread starter has said is off. nikkas aint even talking about the two weird ass single homie made for his album coming out in a month.

There is no point in debating dudes commercial success, dudes not seeking fame cause if he was he would have signed with Drake. The weeknd is just going to be another TechN9ne. Dudes going to be good regardless
