No one cares about Weekend.
:laff:
He's ok, has some cuts here and there. Shines fairly well on his features but let's keep it 100, a long as Drake is around, this cat has no chance of being a huge artist.

Miguel is the top of the totem pole for R&B now (that alone should tell you something) and though I fukk with music fairly heavy he'll end up being another Musiq Soulchild or Anthony Hamilton if he's lucky.

Do men fukk with this dude's more than women though? Seems like the guys relate more to his content, and women feel like his voice it a bit much. I wouldn't even say he has the voice to be a superstar. His voice and how he sings is an acquired taste in a lot of cases. It's like you can hardly understand what he's saying on some tracks.

I mess with his sound, but I can only listen to him in doses.

If dude did traditional R&B instead of that abstract shyt he's doing now he would be platinum by now. Dude has the voice to be big in R&B but he's stuck on abstract music and videos that stoners and weirdo's seem to gravitate to. He's got the vocals but he'll never move major units as long as he's on that weird shyt. He has a niche but like all niche genre's you only get a small fraction of the market share.

No disrespect, but this judgment was so off. Weeknd ended up selling millions and is an icon now. To be put there with Bob Marley, Drake, Jay Z, Em, Cobain.

And in this thread you're confidently saying why he won't make it.

Not only did he do it, he did it by being original.

No disrespect. I just find internet opinions scary because it can lead those with hope the wrong way.

To the artists out there - follow your heart and never get disuaded by an internet opinion.

Bless.
