I feel similar.... but I just cant understand how somebdy in their marketing department couldnt see a problem... Those marketing ppl usually look at every little thing that can make or lose money when it comes to advertising.I got dumb ass females talking about black people shouldn't wear Bathing Ape anymore () or Tommy Hilfiger (that damn hoax will never go away) because of this ad then and how they still gonna shop at H&M. I'm about to play Nas "Black Girl Lost".
My opinion on this is that it was done in poor taste and was coincidence. If you ignore the racial connotation its not really nothing crazy to see a little kid rocking a hoodie like that. I'm not a monkey and I don't associate black people with monkeys (I get the history) so its just a dumb ass kids hoodie to me. What if the model was white and black mothers bought the hoodie for their child? I don't think H&M would deliberately do some racist shyt and its been blown out of proportion, a P.R. blunder.![]()
Alot of ppl not from America, and businesses not originated in america dont really understand certain sterotypes and other offensive images or sayings. This maybe the case here..,
Still... kinda odd, from a business perspective
