He'll never be a Drake as in being mainstream ... but his lane right now he has it locked ...

The less we know about him the more ppl wonder and speculate .. creates intrigue and buzz.

Your mostly correct, but that's all pretty shytty. I only care about the music and he doesn't put out nearly enough. I can give a fukk less about his interviews or video appearances or him as a person. He's Canadian, they are all exactly the same people in my book...

I couldn't tell Justin Bieber, Celine Dion, or the Weeknd apart from half the players in The NHL until they starting singing or skating :myman:

He doesn't put out enough music? He's released 30 tracks in the last 2 years and has had several feature spots on other albums. That's more than most artists in that timeframe. Plus he has a new album dropping this year. What more do you want?

He put out 3 short mixtapes a long time ago, then sold it as an album. Besides adding 3 bonus tracks to the album and doing 3 or 4 hooks for rappers, what music has he put out in the last year?

Maybe he had work ethic when he was trying to get put on, but once them checks started rolling in, nukka hit the snooze button :badass:

Ok, so let's count those mixtapes as one collective album released in 2011. He's now releasing a new album in 2013. One album every two years is pretty standard. Plus he's been touring pretty heavily.

Did people get used to him dropping a mixtape every few months and think he was gonna do that for the rest of his career?

he can take as long as he wants to release music as long as the quality is the same as what he's released so far...i'd rather him take long to release music than start to pump out tracks and have them be low quality...if he starts releasing wack music then those same people saying "why doesnt he release more music" will be the first to say "damn the weeknd fell off"
