Almoravids is the confideracy consisting of Zenaga, Lemtouna and other saharan berbers.
their only relation with wolof and fula is being saharan berbers and thus neighbours of black africans from the western Sahel. The people from Tekrour in current northern Senegal provided troops to their Almoravid ally and as neighbours of course they’re some intermarriage. but because of that claiming the almoravids are/were black african berbers is something completely different. Kotama are the whitest berbers of Algeria you’ll ever meet nothing to do with mulattos.

The Bafour were the northernmost blacks of north-west Africa. With the current Sahara area drying up more and more and they being agro-pastoralists they ended up migrating south to the areas of the Senegal valley who were wetter. Those who stayed in wet pockets of the Sahara known as oases and oueds ended up being tributaries of the Sanhadja who were Saharan berbers who had the advantage of utilising domesticated camels which meant they could easily dominate the cut off small Bafour communities.

The haratines are a mix of indigeneous black saharans (Bafour who stayed in oases) and ended up completely dominated by the berber Sanhajas and west-african slaves from communities like the Bambara Senoufos, Wolof, etc ... They are certainly no indigeneous berbers. Even up till now they are treated as slaves in the worst case and 2nd class citizens in the best.

1. Mauritanian oral tradition claims Abu Bakr was killed in a clash with the "Gangara" (Soninke Wangara of the Tagant Region of southern Mauritania), relating that he was struck down by an arrow from an old, blind Gangara chieftain in the pass of Khma (between the Tagant and Assab mountains, en route to Ghana).[2][3] According to Wolof oral tradition, a Serer bowman named Amar Godomat killed him with his bow near lake Rzik (just north of the Senegal) (Godomat's name apparently originates with this death).[4] It goes on to note that Abu Bakr left a pregnant Fula wife, Fâtimata Sal, who gave birth to a son, the legendary Amadou Boubakar ibn Omar, better known as Ndiadiane Ndiaye, who went on to found the Wolof kingdom of Waalo in the lower Senegal river.[5]

And @KidStranglehold has already illustrated that Berbers are majority East African descent, I don't care what "they look like."

2. The Bafour or Bafur may have inhabited present-day Mauritania and the Western Sahara before the arrival of Islamic peoples.[1] Some sources say this is a loose term to encompass the pre-Sahadja peoples, who were "part Berber, part Negro [sub-Saharan African], and part Semite."[2] Others say they occupied these territories in the 15th century and, before the end of the 17th century, were assimilated by other tribes, including the Wolof, Berber and Fula.

3. The Haratines are more indigenous to NA and surely Africa than the Slavic and Middle Eastern people you are trying to tout

Abu Bakr ibn Umar ibn Ibrahim ibn Turgut, sometimes suffixed al-Sanhaji or al-Lamtuni[1] (died 1087; Arabic: أبو بكر بن عمر‎) was a chieftain of the LamtunaBerbers of the western Sahara, and commander of the Almoravids from 1056 until his death.

This isn't a Black man yall because @Sonni says so :troll:

Them modern berbers look like west Africans and white folks mixed. So that and other evidence should only lead the the obvious answer that most of all this greatness was black with some white newcomers.

Take note that there Carthage(which was in Tunisia) was the only densely populated area in Northwest Africa during antiquity. You can bring up the Germanic Vandals, but sources I read state they were expelled from North Africa by the Romans.

Its wild cause there own ancient peoples was saying from Egypt throughout outside of there colonies were black. That's all the proof whites should need.

Interesting quote:
“The Berber women are from the island of Barbara, which is between the west and the south. Their color is mostly black though some pale ones can be found among them. If you can find one whose mother is of Kutama, whose father is of Sanhaja, and whose origin is Masmuda, then you will find her naturally inclined to obedience and loyalty in all matters…”
~Ibn Butlan 11th century
Most of the early Arab writers variously described Berbers as so-called sons of Ham. We can't forget most Berbers were either Christian, Jewish or pagan prior to the 11th century, and this changed after the Almoravid's rise to power. Both the Almoravids and Almohades were "black African dynasties" (allied with various mixed and lighter-skinned elements), the former originating in Senegal (which surprisingly has few Berber speakers) and the latter in the middle and high Atlas region.

I would say modern day Berbers are a result of Northeast African men mixing with Southern European women. Berbers Y-DNA does not show them to be West African but of Northeast African. The signature Berber marker "E-M81" seems to state that.

As you can see E-M81 has ancestry in NE Africa.

Now lets look at their NRY which shows Berber men have mostly African ancestry:

Mauritanians in these times were mostly islamised berbers and blacks in the south not Arabs. The arabisation was only nearly completed in the 17th century after mauritanian berbers lost the final battle. Mauritanians are africans so "they had african servants" tells us nothing. And oh yes, i am half mauritanian.

Mauritania was all of North Africa at that time to the Europeans.... That's what the Romans called North Africa

When I said Mauritania I wasn't talking about the actual country

Dude they don't have a history and this is not to degrade them even thought they do everyone else but they need something to tie to their people but they don't have Shyt. They are the youngest groups of people on the planet. They probably the only ones who created fake characters and events.

Ancient Mauritania was just coastal Northwest Africa. Not all of North Africa. Egypt and Kush were not labeled Mauritania by Europeans or the Romans.

And heres how the Romans depicted the natives of Maurtinia at that time.

IIRC all of Africa was called Libya by Europeans or land of Ham or just plain Ethiopia.

1. how is that story suppose to contradict anything I said. do you really think you’re going to teach me a Gangara anything about the historic and modern relations between the people of the southern and northern communities of my country. lets be serious.
and first you claimed indigenous berbers they are/were black african and than you said majority mulatto. now you say you don’t care ??

You and me are discussing the berbers from after 700AD, the time of the conquest of Spain not Neolithic migration from EA to NA

2 isn’t that exactly what I am saying. plus your source clearly says part Negro part berber.
why would they say that if berber = negro

3. Not sure what you are trying to prove. Haratines are a mix of berberised and later arabised indigeneous blacks from the Sahara and later enslaved blacks. They are not indigenous of North Africa except for some around the Oued draa in Morocco or Adrar region of Algeria for ex. The former might be were brother @KOohbt be from.
