Nah THIS is not normal. Gamers flock to the new hot console every time one drops...unless they are not hyped for it. This is clearly the case with the Wii U. Gamestop giving an extra 2% to affiliates is not a good sign given the fact that the console JUST launched. Check eBay prices as well...people are barely getting a profit out of flips, that's ANOTHER red flag.
For the guy asking...I am in Lexington, KY right now and ALL the gamestops are in stock.

The 2% extra offer? It was emailed about 4 days ago via linkshare.
Here is a great line from that email:
"If you can sell at least one Wii U before 12/17, we will offer you a 2% commission increase through the end of the year!"

First mistake Nintendo should of named it anything other than Wii U... People think the system is a rehash of Wii not a completely new console. Secondly Nintendo should of made it where the Console could use more than one Super Dreamcast Controller. Then Nintendo should went with standard Blu-Ray because people want a Media machine now days not just Netflix rentals. Nintendo was in the position to make this a machine a Xbox8 PS-4 Killer, but went the low road and made it a better Wii.. The gimmick of playing off television screen isn't as appealing as waving a magic wand in 2012. Because you have phone gaming and Vita and DS.. So in order for Nintendo to pull this off they need to come with Hardcare games and Great Games that grab people because the gimmick toy won't work with this Box.

They could of named it.. Nintendo U and gave people Zelda from the release of the machine held Mario back to build on anticaption and I bet right now they would be WINNING! The name Nintendo would of pushed the flood gates open because they haven't called a Console NES since Super Nintendo and N64

hate to say it (i really don't), but it would be very nice if theyre doing bad enough to respond the way they did with 3ds

I would cop one but not before PS4 and Xbox8 comes out. I will get those systems the first day theyre released. but Wii U has to drop a great game or just be a buy so I can say I own all the game systems of Next Gen
