Nintendo was full of themselves. Plain and simple.

The Wii was a niche product. We told nikkas that back on SOHH and they were oblivious because everyone and their grandmother literally had a Wii. Meanwhile, the non-casuals were concerned with what was dropping for 360 and PS3 because while they did'nt sell as much as the Wii, THEY WERE WHAT MATTERED.

They were what mattered then, and they are what matters now. Nintendo thought it could strike gold twice by releasing a system that was both a minimal step up from its predecessor and a laughable comparison to the current competition.

Yeah there were good games but don't delude yourself if you thought the Wii really won this gen.

It's a shame that this company, which is a pioneer in the gaming industry, is gonna go the same way of Sega. fukking pathetic and sad.

so you played the game for 2-3 hours

and even the arcadish horizon series is better then anything released on ps3 this year

3 hrs is about a fourth of that game's length. The game was decent, so I saw it all the way through, but...nothing too special. Story was interesting at least.

I will get a Wii U just like I got the Wii...when some of those exclusives are out that I can check out and immediately dump the system.

I got the Wii for Mario Galaxy and a couple of those strange titles they had. I learned my lesson with them after the gamecube...I finished THREE games on that system

Word....I only copped the Wii when it was hackable and able to be modded.

With the 360 and the PS3 I was'nt willing to give up my online experience just to play for free but with the Wii? Ha!

Zelda, Mario, No More Heroes, Paper Mario...none of those shyts required online or an online experience. shyt was a quick DL, burn to a 25 cent DVD and then we're playing Wii. I missed out on NOTHING by modding a Wii.

I came into this thread expecting to read something new and it's the same cast of folks hating on shyt that ain't PS3/Xbox.

I don't get why Nintendo's success or failures gets you so pumped. They make good ass games regardless of how powerful it is or how gimmicky you think the controller is. I give them props for trying to change shyt and do it in a different way

But back on topic, yeah i see these things every time i go into Target and Wal-Mart, both editions.

I don't think anyone is hating on nintendo, but they do deserve the criticism.

I'm not saying they ain't above criticism. I don't get the whole shytting on a whole system argument cause you're a cheerleader for another system cause Nintendo will do what they always do which is 2-4 months out they'll start dropping some amazing games. Nintendo knows as soon as Zelda/Mario/Metroid/Hopefully Kid Icarus comes out folks will start forking over cash. It's the same philosophy as Sony/MS has they just do it cheaper.

its kinda sad that the measure of success is that the product should be unavailable on retail shelves. by that standard all Nintendo has to do is dial back shipments and let the demand become higher than the supply and its a rousing success.

The Xbox 360 has to be the worst Console I've ever owned. Aside from the fact that it RROD on me twice and got little to no support from MS I also had to pay a £40 premium to play my games online

and for what? So I can chat to my friends easier?

I threw video gaming in the bushes for 2 years before buying my PS3 and it's the best decision I've ever made (in terms of gaming). Aside from being a genuine hub for a lot of my media it provides me with enough casual and hardcore titles to keep me satisfied. Not to mention the browser, Netflix streaming and specs are superior, those graphics on my TV are I don't pay a penny to play my games online. I heard Bungie dropped Halo as well which means you're playing an, "exclusive" made by 343 industries, a developer that's picked up a title for the first time. They've DESTROYED the combat system on that game. It's not been the same.
