Nah I think they could've done it. They showed the ports/importing on season 2, shyt could've gone masterfully.

• Same theme for Season 4
• Season 5... Katrina I guess

I would set it from 97-03 to capture the true Chopper City feel

Stick with it. Worth the grind of the first few episodes.



Like someone else touched on, the two creators both worked in Baltimore. One worked a newsroom and the other was a homicide detective and then a schoolteacher. They wrote what they knew; that's what makes the show great. New Orleans and it's idiosyncrasies wouldn't have been as good a fit. Baltimore is a better metaphor for most large US cities, and why the issues translate easily from place to place. There's nowhere else like New Orleans. That place is just a force of nature unto itself.

Breh that would have been perfect. And in the final episode you see NO being rebuilt but nothing changes.
