Well, since I've seen and heard black men call each other nikkas as a sign of brotherhood, but I've not seen one instance of a black man calling a black woman a ho as a sign of black men and women coming together in friendship, I'ma guess that maybe those are two different contexts and shouldn't be treated the same way?

They're betting that the touchy-feely, "we empower everybody" type of commish that Adam Silver is trying to be can't afford to tell a bunch of (mostly black) women to deal with that pay scale without looking bad.

They're also betting that the owners want to look like they care about empowering women and will pay extra to do so.

I called this back when diggins came out throwing Harrison Barnes under the bus out of the blue. They’ve gone on a public relations extortion campaign which includes people in the media, in an effort to get more of the men’s nba money.

These women aren’t stupid. They know damn well that they don’t generate the revenue to ask for more money. This is about pressuring the nba to give them more of the men’s money. They want to make this a public relations thing by hinting that the nba is being sexist.
