No one is disputing Messi is one of the top 5 greatest players of all time. What I'm disputing is he's the greatest. He has ZERO titles with his national team. He's had the benefit of being on the best team in the world for all of his career. He's played alongside some of the greatest players in history.

If he's the GOAT then how come he's not even half as good when you take him away from Barcelona? Ronaldo is not as talented as Messi but he's won a title with Portugal. And its not like Messi has had no help either.

In Argentina he's had Saviola, Tevez, Riquelme, Heinze, Cambiasso, Veron, Higuain, Milito, Aguero, Mascherano, Lavezzi, Banega, Di Maria, Dybala, Samuel, Coloccini, Ayala, Crespo.... The list is almost endless. Messi has had a platform but has failed to step up. That's just how it is.
