um the Brazilian league was arguably strongest league at that time.

and Copa Libertadores de América was JUST as strong as the European league. That's why Pele's Santos kept washing all the champions of Euro all the time

The Brazilian League was weird as fukk, before they restructured things. So how strong it was, we really don't.

Go look up some off Tim Vickery's pieces on the history of the Brazilian league. Its very interesting

I don't get into the whole Ronaldo/Messi debates......but it's funny how Euro 2004 is never brought up. Portugal should've put that one to bed, on home soil, with Ronaldo on the pitch in the final, losing to Greece of all teams.
That Greece team was one in a million thing. Horrible football to watch but defensively very sound and they were a very good collective which transcends individual talent. Man like Charisteas looked like a good player in that team when he really wasn't shyt :russ: But you can't really put this on Ronaldo to be frank. 2004 was way too early for him when he really start killing the game after the 2006 WC.

I wish one of the leagues in the Americas rises up to be a top league. I want the America champions league to mean something.

R9 was the greatest young talent since Pele.

Mbappe the greatest young talent since R9.

Don't @ me or quote me.

Come on breh. Messi was top 3 at 19. Neymar was carrying his Brazilian league team to the finals around that same age

You can't talk this shyt and expect no one to quote you :russ:

Was Messi top 3 at Barca at 19?

Eto, Xavi, Iniesta, Dinho, Puyol, Deco

Not sure why y’all acting like it’s some outlandish statement to make about Mbappe at this age

Doesn’t necessarily mean he will end up better than Messi and Ronaldo

Messi at 19 finished 3rd in the Ballon D'Or voting behind CR7 and Kaka.
