Agree. The intent isnt negative most of the time, but it does lose sight of the fact that theyre all French for all intents and purposes.. IIRC theres only one person on the team who isnt born in France and he barely even plays (Mandanda). All are products of the French system from childhood too.

I think the bigger thing is just recognizing that the black players are from traceable African descent. I mean I'm sure some of them even regularly visit their larger family back in the homeland.

At the end of the day though, they are French first.

The real African nations e.g. Nigeria, Ghana, Cote d'Ivoire, Cameroon etc need to stand up
