Les Bleus documentary on Netflix is an interesting watch that goes through the linkage of the French NT and their issues with ethnic minorities in the country. Some of the stuff is not new if you followed the team in the Zidane days but it explains a lot about the political undercurrents. Some German right wingers tried it with Boateng claiming no one would want to be his neighbor but it never got as much traction as the right wing stuff in France
