Most people expected Belgium to win this game by 3 or 4 goals. Japan played well and didn't back down. I wouldn't consider that a choke job at all.

You can't criticize Japan for pushing their players up for that corner. That approach was why they led 2-0 in the first place.

Martinez is Soccer's version of Ty Lue though. Belgium are winning on talent alone. They'll get exposed against Brazil.

That 3 man defense was quite leaky indeed. I fear what will happen when Neymar and Coutinho will go one on one against them

But we need to salute Martinez because he made the right choices with the right subs and that's what won them the game. Can't hate on that.

Can you imagine Neymar dribbling past 3 guys on the left side, tries to dribble Kompany, loses the ball and Kompany sprays a pass to KDB, to hazard, to Lukaku, Goal. As much talent as Brazil have, they won't beat anyone good until Neymar and Coutinho stop going into business for themselves.

La Liga has the 2 best teams, not just players. Real Madrid and Barcelona would run a train on pretty much any English club. Consistently. Barca football is beautiful to watch as well.

La Liga can be a bit boring to watch because it's almost guaranteed that either of the two will win the league.

Yeah that Arsenal fan base is stuck in the past.

Well the PL is enjoyable to watch because you never know who might win it these days. Man City May have won it this past season but Man UTD, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Tottenham have a shot at it as well. Not Arsenal though they’ll be fighting for a mid table spot with Newcastle UTD

The EFL championship is also enjoyable.

Japan was such an entertaining team to watch this past 4 matches, I didnt want them to lose out to a European team especially after making it through a harder group than Belgians. Anyways, tomorrow Colombia will beat England to ensure 3 South American teams in the quarters

Great formation, but this again is where Martinez messed up. Radja and Dembele in the midfield would have been prime. You get 2 box to box players that will allow De Bruyne the free roam 10 role. I think instead of playing Kompany, you bring in Jordan Lukaku to LB and have Toby and Vertoghen play together as they are Spurs teammates and know their style of play. Drop Chadli for Mertens and have him and Hazard switch wings. Having Radja in place of Fellaini give you some cover on the left since you know Hazard won't contribute that much defensively.
