If you dont understand the psychological importance of it then , just like it was important for Belgium, conquering fears of the past.

If you dont like the English speaking media you can always read/listen in French, Spanish, German, Dutch, Flemish etc. I mean no ones forcing you to listen to the pundits but yet yourself and others keep on going back to it like a battered wife.

I watch in Italian or Spanish quite a bit. But FOX happens to be the easiest for me to watch on. But I'm in the field of journalism. And its one thing to have a team, its another to openly dikk suck...especially for us Americans who technically should have no dog in this fight. I can criticize coverage, period. But because a network like ESPN has a larger spanish speaking contingency there is more balance to the coverage.

Just saying "change the channel then" doesn't solve anything. I want my pundits to analyze the match, talk about the major moments, give me insight to things I can't readily go learn myself...not have them nutbust all over England. Its pathetic.

And all it does it create MORE pressure for this team, make the fans MORE amped up and MORE emotional....

I disagree. In the first half of this game great passes kept on going into the box. Mandzukic is just the same wasteful donkey he's always been. They're far from the aimless post-Xavi Spain. Modric and Rakitic constantly pass with serious intent.

And this is two straight games against teams straight up parking the bus on them and they still found goals.

England is going to play open and right into their hands. They're going to overrun the English midfield all day.

Denmark didn't park the bus against them. matter of fact, Denmark was playing very open in the second half and extra time. I think England would be alot smarter than to open as much as possible. Their midfield is stupid average compared to Croatia, but they have more legs and athleticism and a better attack. Croatia could eventually run out of energy by the time second half hits.
Rakitic will eventually settle down to his true self. He's been slightly above average to average for Barca for almost 2 seasons now.
If this was the rd of 16, Croatia would win comfortably. But God is not on our side, so the evil side will win. smh

Belgium v France too tougb to call
brehs Both average or shaky back 4.
World Class attacking players lukaku and Mbappe both are quality strikers.
Hazard and Griezman Hazard consistently with the best runs in the game. Griezman is just an complete forward.
Pogba and De Bruyne power and precision. Both are the most important player's of their team. I think whoever play's the best determines outcome of match.
The gawd Kante. Belgium has no equivalent to him. Felliani been balling doe.
Varane is the best CB in this match. Not sure if Kompany will be fit to go.
The Keepers Lloris is nice and courtois has been best keeper this cup.

Belgium only weakness is its defense.
I feel they play better as a unit than France as well. But France stars are just a bit better over all. My mind says Belgium but I picked Les Blues to take it from jump.

To sum up the Coli on England in this World Cup

Breh, what's the difference in this english squad compared to previous squads. Is it an on form striker in Kane? More decisive mid field? From what I remember of English teams of yore, their big problem was they didn't play to their strengths or identity. Always felt there was pressure for them to play like whoever was on top of world football instead of taking advantage of having world class CB's. Quality set pieces and excellent defense can take one far.

But what's different breh? Player's that believe? Good tactics?
