Always found it odd; that England has no "African-English" players on their squad or hardly any successful ones in the league. While the opposite happens in France.

I might be wrong here but unlike in France, the African population here has only recently taken over the Caribbean population with regards to the black population here. I think that in 5-10 years time we might end up seeing more and more black African players who were born in England in the English leagues. Most Will probably decide to play for their countries of origin though...

The previous English teams would have made it too if they faced the weak opposition this English team faced. As far as I'm concerned France would be their only true opponent if they make it to the final.

This English team is more lucky than good. Look at the teams the "golden generation" lost to at the world cup and tell me if this current team would have beaten any of them

Nah not just that. The Gerrard/Lampard etc golden generation just never looked comfortable out there. They always looked nervous as hell and liable to lose to anyone.

They were also missing a creative playmaker. Only so much long balls up front you can do. The generation preceding them had Gazza..McManaman (mid 90s) as players who could dribble and create chances...

Gerrard was trash for England.. and rest nothing to home write about

This current team is still missing a good playmaker and can also look unconfident and ucreative...but overall they look more solid and confortable than the so called golden generation

It’s also a fault of the English tabloids for gassing up players to ridiculous proportions and creating unreasonable expectations..then being the first ones to tear you down when things inevitably don’t go according to plan.

You've obviously never seen quadroon hair cut real short. It looks almost straight. Like Hazard. But when it grows out, it's gets its natural curl. And that is when you see the blackness.

Hazard is prolly 30% black which is why it looks straight when it's cut that short. If he let his hair grow he will get a curly fro look to it.

Just look at Muhammad Ali grandson. We know he's at least 30% black and his hair is straight even when grown out.

Why is Coman not on the french team?

The French depth is ridiculous, only country that rivaled them in depth was probably Spain, but Spain's depth is more so in the midfield whereas France is across the pitch. Just look at some players that couldn't break the 23 man lineup

Payet, Coman, Martial, Kondogbia, Sissoko, Lacazette, Laporte, Bakayoko, Rabiot, Doucoure, Digne, Zouma.

Now, it can be argued that obviously not all of these players are up to par with the current French lineup ex. Kante > Bakayoko, Mbappe > Coman/Martial etc but some of these aforementioned players could easily walk into most countries starting XI

Coman and Martial will be back sooner than later. Just a combo of injuries in Comans case and poor form to close to the WC in Martial's case.

Who really fukked up is Rabiot . Said he would pull himself out of the standby team after he didnt make the World Cup squad and now theyre on the verge of winning the thing. Considering how well the guys picked ahead of him have played, he could be on the outside looking in for a long time.
