Breh. Messi has fuxking help
only three Argentine players in the first XI today would start for Croatia.

All Argentina has is forwards.

They've been struggling to create consistently since Riquelme left.

But on the real tho, just bout every country barring Spain are struggling to produce real top level ball playing CM's.

John Jo Shelvy would easily be on the England squad if I was their manager
It’s crazy cuz it seems that’s all we had 5-6 years ago.

He has champions on that squad. Di Maria has the ability to play left midfield. Rojo, while crazy at times, does not make mistakes those other backs did today. Dybala not coming on until the game left was abysmal. One of the few people that got shots off. Messi having one shot, and looking like a broken hoe during the anthem is what should be talked about.

who is their midielder?

They garbage. I am not saying your theory is entirely wrong, but there isnt anyone there to push Messi to a different position.

Argentina haven't produced a top midfield talent since the 90s.
:comeon: you miss the team in 06

Notice I said today’s first 11.

Croatia is better than them.

Argentina has name players but they play like shyt as a team. Everytime Messi gets the ball, he's got 3-4 defenders on him. Dude never had space.

33% of your teams goals is very impressive. He of course opened up opportunities for his teammates to score based on him being the center of attention. Maradona did some incredible things in that World Cup. He scored 5 goals with one of those goals being the most infamous goal of all time and one that shouldn't have counted.

2014 Messi scored 4 out of his teams 7 goals. 57% of his teams goals. Are you going to say scoring 57% of your teams goals isn't even more herculean? He and Mascherano pretty much dragged their team to final. He didn't score in the final and lead his team to victory, but if we are being honest. Maradona didn't exactly score a goal in the final either.

This.

People seem to forget that if it weren't for Messi, the Argies wouldnt even be at the World Cup. The reason why they don't perform falls squarely onto the shoulders of the gaffer, Sampaoli.

These armchair Guardiolas read Bleacher Report and think they've got it sussed.

:heh:
