Can someone tell me where all this hopelessness against Columbia is coming from? Senegal looked way too sloppy against South Korea but Columbia isn't THAT good, and all they need is a draw. I wouldn't pick Senegal to win, but it's still a winnable game if they show out and definitely a drawable one.

And I have Poland taking out South Korea just like they took out the USA in the third game in 2002. Poland has been off form but they're a much better team than the Koreans and will be playing for pride.

If I had to make a random guess, Senegal loses 2-1 but advances anyway when Korea loses 3-1.
i wish colombia hadnt picked up a red in that japan game so we could see how good they actually wouldve played. i also think they become a much stronger team when james starts.
i think poland is in really bad form and i wouldnt be shocked if they lose to japan. which is what im most worried about right now

Yeah they are....top to bottom they are a class side, and more experienced than Senegal. They are just filled with club side underachievers outside of Cuadrado, who people forget is a perennial Serie A winner with Juve.

I'm rooting for the motherland always. But to say Columbia isn't that good isn't really a fair assessment. I think they could sneak up on a FEW teams. This is the same team that got to the quarters last WC.

But I'm sure David Ospina will lose it for them...

lol Messi tells the official about a sub and the manager is asking HIM "are you bringing in Kun"

:russ: Sampaoli lose the managerial job

Marcos Rojo: "During halftime, Messi said that all of us have the duty to score so whenever we get the chance, we shoot, no matter our position... So when I saw that ball coming towards me, I kicked it in with all that I had in me and [laughs] it went in!"

"Marcos Rojo: It was because of Messi we won today not because of me. I may have scored the winning goal but the energy he gave us at half time was the reason we managed to complete this historic win."
"The coach (Sampaoli) was telling me to get back and defend. I told him to shut the fukk up because I always believe in myself. To score the goal and save this country means everything to me, Messi thanked me after the game. I am overwhelmed with emotion."

Arsene Wenger claims England’s weak point at the World Cup could be Kyle Walker and claims the Manchester City right-back is ‘not a real defender’. Gareth Southgate’s side will play Belgium in their final game in Group G on Thursday evening and will be fighting for top spot with Roberto Martinez’s side. Walker, meanwhile, is playing on the right side of Southgate’s three-man defence and admitted before the tournament that he would prefer to play at right-back. And Wenger believes 28-year-old could be punished more for his mistakes due to his position.

‘He’s not a real defender, and especially not a central defender,’ the former Arsenal manager told beIN Sports. ‘He can be subject to making defensive mistakes, which he would not pay for when he plays on the right.’
