Always good to see Egypt in Africa

:russ:

When is it never?

The African visual with that distinct dark line that appears to be subduing the darker nations on the continent of Africa is really annoying me.

Why the need to show a mark demarcation on a population map?

They do it for all the continents to distinguish countries within their sub-continent classification i.e.
  • Eastern Europe
  • South Asia
  • Central America
  • North Africa
etc.

Right? I would’ve thought Canada at least had 80 mil

Nigeria is shocking too, cuz it’s not that big of a country
Nigeria is huge breh. It is one and a half times the size of Texas with nearly ten times the population.

Most African countries are huge but few people know it because our current map projection distorts the size of equatorial nations. There are other versions which present a more realistic depiction of the nations.

I think the real underachievers are Brazil and DRC given the amount of space they have. If not for those jungles in both countries, I could easily see their populations rivaling India with all that room.
