Nikas mad already in this thread and I ain't een post yet.
that pushed boundaries to youThe ps4 is the most powerful console in the world but it's inferior right
Look at what u named infamous and the order look fukkin amazing they pushing boundaries when it come to console graphics and the ps4 is brand new so yea they still learning it so when they make shyt look that good it's understandable that they suffer some setbacks like 30 instead 60 .
But compare infamous or the order with 30fps games on x1. Sunset overdrive is no crazy graphics or super visual game but the shyt struggles to stay at 30fps w. There's no reason for it to not be 60fps or atleast locked at 30.

The PS4 is inferior as well. Neither of these systems is bleeding edge tech. They were both weak when they came out as current generation PC hardware beats them handily. Infamous is 30 FPS and The Order is 30 FPS and what's the excuse? The developers will just lie and say its cinematic. Hell The Order has black bars built into the game so the in game stuff isn't even full HD. Is Xbox One holding that back too?
http://tay.kotaku.com/why-the-order-1886-is-1080p-and-not-800p-1518902908There has been lots of controversy around what resolution The Order will run at on the PS4. We are here to day to set all of that in place and put the facts in order. Yes the game has been confirmed by many news outlets that the game will run in 1080p, but many people are still confused on how when the game has also been confirmed to run at a a display ratio of 1920x800.There are two explanations to explain why The Order is 1080p, versus 800p and I will use two examples to explain why. A simplistic example and a more in-depth explanation using facts about resolution and aspect ratios themselves. I will also use Forza 5 and Ryse as examples to help carry the points across.
In-Depth Explanation:
Ryse runs at a resolution of 1600x900 (which maintains an HDTV's aspect ratio of 1.78:1 - or 16:9). The Order: 1886 will be presented at 1920x800 (which is the CINEMATIC aspect ratio of 2.40:1). At this aspect ratio, you would need a screen resolution of 2592x1080 to avoid the black bars.
Simplistic Explanation:
The game renders an image of 1920x1080, just 280 horizontal lines are black. For comparisons sake, lets use Forza 5, a full 1080p game. Now if were to tape two black rectangles at the top and botton of our TV screens, you would now be seeing Forza 5 in 1920x800. The picture left displayed is still a 1080p image, the only difference is now only 800 horizontal lines of pixels are visible. Resolution is measured in pixel density, and The Order may have a display ratio of 1920x800, but keeps the same pixel density as a 1920x1080 resolution.
Furthermore, what The Order is doing, isn't much different than most Blu-Ray movies. When you watch a 1080p movie, nine out of ten times the movie is in widescreen. Which is the cinematic aspect ratio we talked about before. 2.40:1. The Order will be displaying the same as any 1080p widescreen Blu-Ray movie would.
Reason:
It has also been stated by the developers, and more importantly the founder of ReadyAtDawn that The Order was chosen to run this way to include 4xMSAA. Also quoted by Andrea Pessino, "4xMSAA which looks spectacular! x800 with AA looks MUCH better than x1080 without" and "x800 with 4xMSAA needs more bandwidth than x1080 would, so 1080 no MS would be cheaper." Also note Andrea confirmed that the game will run at a frame rate of 30fps.

No, it is definitely real-time, (as my post yesterday might hint) I had one of their devs explicitly confirm to me yesterday that it is running in real time, on a single PS4 and not pre-recorded.
Beginning with Uncharted 4, all Naughty Dog games will feature completely in engine, real time, 3D cutscenes (if they even stay cutscenes anymore), a huge performance departure from what they used to ship.
So I then asked Richard about it and whether he could spot any signs that the trailer was real time, which he did in his updated post:
Quote:
We've studied the video in a little more depth and have concluded that it's definitely running at native 1080p resolution (as opposed to being rendered at a very high resolution, then scaled down - a process known as super-sampling). Small clipping anomalies, a touch of specular aliasing on Nate's shirt as he sits up, along with some shadow aliasing on his forehead also suggest a real-time render. On the face of it, we're still looking at some pretty incredible anti-aliasing here for a real-time technique on a game running at 60fps, particularly when it comes to the perfect, artefact-free rendering of Nate's hair - but the combination of the low contrast setting, slow camera movement, motion blur and depth of field would work well generally in making aliasing much less of an issue.

so it's really nothing special."
this nikka @Fatboi1 had a Stan explosion.
what's the point of appealing to a "CINEMATIC aspect ratio" when they say in so many words that they're rendering less pixels to accommodate better AA?Hold up breh, the Order is RENDERING FULL hd. You're rolling the ball early but let me correct you.

So if they're holding games back like this I guess it doesn't matter what system you get...

And please can you guys for the love of everything stop simply boiling games down to "it's only 30fps it doesn't really impress me."
Simply saying a title is "30fps what's the excuse" trivializes the entire technical feats of the game.
UC3 came out in 2011 at only 720P/30fps. Guess it's on par with any other 720P 30fps title right?
Please what games you know ANYWHERE looking like this?? This shyt looks nearly photorealistic and you got cats deflecting bringing up PC's.

PLEASE show me a better looking title than this on Xbox One or even PC for that matter.

Please breh.... This shyt looks better than any other racer or w/e period on anything that plays games right NOW.
Now this one... Nikka 1080P 60fps....

A console doesn't need to have "bleeding edge" tech in it to be considered good. Y'all whole point boils down to "Well it isn't stronger than my I5 3570K+780 TI systemso it's really nothing special."
At $400 you get a console that will output games that look like what i posted?? No complaints there. It works. I'd agree with y'all if the PS4 was $600 again but y'all sound really salty when y'all bring up PC's in this "console peasant" shaming ya'll do but fail to realize at $400 it's a steal.
But I'm just a stan though.

The Order: 1886 Devs Always Targeted MSAA for High IQ; Aspect Ratio Is Artistic Choice, Won’t Change
![]()
BY KHURRAM IMTIAZ - FEBRUARY, 6TH 2014
Founder of Ready at Dawn dropped a couple of important information regarding the resolution of The Order: 1886 yesterday. We have also come to know that the resolution and aspect ratio is final, and same with the anti-aliasing technique used in the game.
In case you were wondering what the resolution and the type of AA is being used in game, you should be glad to know that they are targeting for the highest possible image quality and are not going to compromise on their artistic vision.
The Order: 1886 uses a forward based rendering instead of deferred rendering. Ready at Dawn have explained that the main reason they switched from deferred based to forward based rendering was because MSAA was always their priority from the start. They definitely didn’t seem to be a fan of FXAA and MLAA, so it is no surprise that The Order: 1886 is using 4xMSAA instead of a more traditional solution, like MLAA + FXAA.
We actually used to use deferred rendering, and one of the reasons for switching was so that MSAA would be more affordable and less error-prone. I’m a firm believer in MSAA, and I think it’s required if you want really good image quality. The shader-based techniques like FXAA and MLAA are certainly a lot better than nothing and they make a still screenshot look really nice, but they’re fundamentally limited by a lack of sub-pixel information and it really shows in motion. They can still be nice though when used in conjunction with MSAA in order to improve the quality further and to cover up some of the places where MSAA doesn’t work as well, and there’s also some shader things you can do on modern GPU’s that make MSAA more effective overall.
Founder of Ready at Dawn, Andrea Pessino has clarified any confusion left, stating that their choice of aspect ratio and FOV(field-of-view) will remain the same.
the aspect ratio is a core artistic choice (frame, FOV, etc), added performance is a bonus but nowhere near crucial
I very much doubt that vision is going to change at this point. The game is built around it.![]()
Hey it doesn't matter though, you can always wait for the PC version.
GamesIt doesn't matter anyway. These guys are acting like the Xbox One vs PS4 is like a Wii vs a PS3 because its less powerful overall. The Xbox One is in the same ballpark as a PS4 even if it clearly can't beat it. Its not inferior enough to hold a PS4 back.So if they're holding games back like this I guess it doesn't matter what system you get...

What's really holding us back is developers who aren't interested in optimizing their games. Developers that will use buzz words like cinematic feel to describe games that run under 1080p and under 60 FPS as spin because the extra head room they gain by lowering the resolution and frame rate allows them the ability to do more but instead of saying our game was compromised by they hardware they use PR talk to justify inferior performance on the game.

When that game hits the market and it always looks like that through out the whole game and not just character focused cut scenes maybe I'll buy that. I've never met a person that admitted to liking black bars in movies or on TV though have you? Nobody really likes that or would want it. Them doing it in the face of that just to me says there's a gain there for doing it.
I'm not buying this talk simply because Uncharted 4 exists. They said several times the stuff we saw was an actual in game level and the game will run at 1080P 60fps. If they can do that, I'm willing to bet that the choices made by other devs(For PS4 at least) are really choices and not just limits.
It's really nothing else to see here. If Uncharted 4 looks and plays the way it says it's going to play then any other dev is just simply making their game like that by choice.
