Biggest mistake baseball made was make all these open field stadiums kills the vibe horrendously. Went to wrigley this year and fukking loved it reminded me off going to the old Yankee stadium. That's all I'll say because I have like 600 posts talking shyt about the stadium.
What does that mean?:dahell:

Wrigley and Fenway had the benefit of not being able to really relocate anywhere else that was desirable, so they had to gut their stadiums every off season and start over

Stadiums where it's Bowl shaped so yes your building has more concessions and bathrooms and stuff, but the fans are farther away and the stadiums are then not as loud. Older stadiums, you're on top of the sections below you so you're higher but you're just as close as the lower level seats.

Duh...the last year the team was in the old Yankee stadium (2008) they didn't even make the playoffs. The team has been OK to mediocre since 2011, we know this.

Anyway, the dynasty is on the horizon, so the seats will fill up a bit more. Besides, this isn't exclusive to the Yankees, and they've been well aware for years. They know what's going on, which is why they sold a good amount of the YES network last year.

fukk the Yankees, what I want to know is why the fukking Mets think they worst high price tickets for mid-level seating. I could go to philly in any random day and drop 35 for great seats when the Nats play.

But them fukking mets.....:pacspit:. I'll accept that shyt from the Yankees because of the "history"(and really don't give a duck about about AL baseball) but not the fukking Muts. Where the fukk they get off with this sort of self-entitlement.

Too bad the combination of how bad the 70s renovations due to how poorly maintained the OYS by CBS and Steinbrunner's constant desire to build a new stadium was the result of OYS doom, but it is what it is :manny:

The new culture of the stadium sucks. It caters to the corporate buyers and upscale fans. Now they kick you out of the stadium for cursing out opposing players.

We'll never see this Yankee Stadium again, Brehs. :mjcry:

I think the new stadium killed the mystique of the team too. Imagine the Red Sox moving out of Fenway and the Cubs moving out of Wrigley.
Again those teams would have to leave those areas completely if they ever wanted a new one. Boston wanted a new Fenway nearby but BU owns that whole area
