I have no problem with listening to newer/younger artists if they're dope. The notion that it's something wrong with ME because I don't like "LIL Baby" or rappers of his ilk just to keep apperances of being current is some sucka shyt.

I gave it 1 star because I strongly disagree and I generally fukk with you, always have. But the premise is some sucka shyt. It's also one that get's remixed every other week.

- Lil Baby and the rappers of his ilk do not impress me. It's one thing to actively "hate", it's another to dislike or just be indifferent to guys who don't have a lot going for them but hype.

- Define "clinging to old shyt" because it seems like people look around and see legacy artists for lack of a better term still being discussed and get aggravated, "how come nobody is posting in the lil Windex thread, ya'll out of touch and clinging to old stuff you like, get hip!" that is sucka shyt.

- I LOVE HIP HOP, but the rap game is disgusting. The culture is alive and well, the genre (rap music) is watered down, co-opted and largely uninspiring and has been trending that way long before this current crop of rappers were slotted in.

As for Cordae, as well as he can rap, but he's pretty uninteresting, I felt the same way about J Cole as I feel about him. Tuna fish sandwhich rap, but I'm happy to have them for variety's sake, I'm glad they got fans, I respect their craft.

I'm also one of the few people on here that dig YN Jay, who's younger and doesn't have the hype. Not as skilled but way more unique, reminds me of Mac Dre a lil bit, nobody replies to his threads on here either.




I'm not about to guilt trip people into seeing what I see in him though, I just jam what I like an KIM.

Has anyone really thought why the older music has lasted longer than this generations music? lol

its a quality standpoint. Most artist of this era hit records today are forgotten the following year. You dont hear their music in movies or tv for the most part. its disposable. No, I dont really care to talk about any baby's pick one Lil, Da etc... they dont move the needle in music.

Pac Div, Cool Kids, Curren$y, that first Kid Cudi tape was amazing, I remember the first time learning about Jay Electronica, etc., etc.
