Corvette would whoop all of them tho...shyt 05 Ford Gt would probably dog them tooYou missed the point of my post.
I pointed out that American sportscar engineering is lacking and has been subpar at best for years.
The example I gave of a 3.4 million dollar car showed impeccable car engineering that domestic based car companies clearly can't match regardless of the price tag of the vehicle.
If you wanna go with same or similar price rage as a 2016 corvette I'd take a:
BMW i8
Alfa Romera 4C Spider
Nissan GTR
Over the Corvette any day of he week in my humble opinion.

I wanna trade my v6 for the Gt.I see so many high milage and high priced thoFor the money and the amount of muscle you get out of a vette....it's a solid car.
Even compared to the super sports car, muscle wise it's something to deal with, but the quality of the body, design, and interior are subpar.
I'm a gear head tho, I drive a v8 g8gt so....![]()
No one but old southern rednecks and bamas are checking for that shyt.
Spending 50k plus on a American carEven General Motors would be laughing at your dumbass

Preach. Rappers dont name drop them so nikkas sleep. What is lacking about the Corvette's engineering?
- All-aluminum frame
- Extremely low center of gravity
- Front mid-engined chassis
- All-aluminum engines with Direct Injection, VVT, and low weight
- Rear transaxle
- Available dry sump oiling
- Available carbon ceramic brakes
- Available mag shocks (pioneered by GM and now used by Ferrari, Audi, and others)
- 7 speed manual, 8 speed auto with 10 speed auto coming in the next year.
And really, both the Z51 and Z06 have decimated their competition over the past 3 years at the track.
I've driven the C2, C4, C5, C6, and C7 Corvettes not to mention owning a '99 myself for 4 years.
I'll put them against anything in their price and even up to $30K above.
They have it priced that way because it's a rare model.I wanna trade my v6 for the Gt.I see so many high milage and high priced tho![]()
You aren't getting 460whp from a tune and headers unless you have an LS7 or LT1 under the hood. They have it priced that way because it's a rare model.
If it's below 80k miles and has a good carfax...get it. It's a GM engine, LS at that.... they don't die. I'm gonna drop 4 racks on mine this year. Longtube headers and a suspension upgrade, and 93 octane tune, wide tires. Net 460 wheel horse power brehs.![]()
