There is likely some scenarios of some sort that was obviously left out. I know my brother owes, I've seen the letters. he owes this year too. His stimulus was certainly direct deposited.

Not sure what they are saying. I have a brother who got his stimulus Tuesday. He's on an IRS payment plan, and certainly has a balance remaining.

I was bout to say that’s not true cause I owe this year and I put my bank info on the irs website today and it said I qualified for the stimulus and it would be direct deposited.

The irs website itself says there may be situations where a check would be mailed instead.

Honestly, I see no reason why even if owed you couldn't get your check direct deposited. I'm sure IRS wants that information even for future use, not like they couldn't get it on their own.

you still enter your bank info when you owe and pay. The only thing i did different this year was put off paying til july 15th instead of just theN
