It’s one thing to acknowledge you have issues, quite another to just use them as a crutch or allow those issues to define you or run your shyt. Also, I think people get exposed to new words not realizing the seriousness behind the word. It’s like calling something a revolution when it isn’t one at all.

The truth is, toxic behavior is often normalized.

And while acknowledging a problem, issue, or disorder is one part of the equation, actually taking steps to gain mental clarity or seek proper intervention is a whole different challenge.

It takes work. Real, uncomfortable, consistent work.

There’s simply no practice.

Knowledge isn’t the same as doing.

Mental health is not a spectator sport.

I can tell you what’s worked for me is scheduling out my day. That shyt is a hack for consistency. If I want something done it goes on a schedule with the steps broken down daily, weekly and monthly. I can put nearly anything on a schedule and work at it. Works terrific and feels great. I have my free time scheduled and have blocks for some flexibility. When I’m “wasting time”, I’ve scheduled that in. I definitely have enough time to play because I see it on my schedule.

It’s an awesome system, but that’s all it is: a system. To get the rewards it provides action and discipline are required.

Facts. I think a lot of people go to a therapist to get a diagnosis then never go back when the therapist starts talking about modalities and working on their issues.
