So I was browsing reddit the other day and I went to Ye's subreddit, which is notorious for his delirious stans who eat up anything he puts out. I noticed that there was an old thread where people were ranking his albums:

It's interesting to note that there wasn't an album that they universally had at the top, or at the bottom. This pretty much means that Kanye doesn't have a single album that's generally considered to be phenomenal.

Do you know what this means? If Ye's indecisive stans can't decide what's hot, what makes yall think a regular hip hop fan would acknowledge him having any classics?

We could apply this too for other rappers too. You don't need to be a delirious Nas stan to think that illmatic is his best album (and classic), same with Snoop Dogg's Doggystyle. Some other examples include: Liquid Swords, Midnight Marauders, iyrtitl, Ready To Die, All Eyez On Me, ATLiens, lla, Only Built 4 Cuban linx. You can ask anybody and they would know.

Maybe I'm wrong tho, Kanye stans are probably the dumbest stans I've ever encountered

This just means you can’t make an argument that he has a GOAT contender album (or multiple GOAT contender albums). Personally, I think LR, CD and MBDTF are all great albums and many would say classics.

You tell me an artist who has claim to multiple classics where his fans ALWAYS go for one album. A lot of Nas fans are split between IWW and Illmatic. Jay fans generally go between BP, RD, and TBA. Ice Cube has 2 to choose from, if there is only one album that all your fans point to and ALL say is the best then your discography is probably lacking.

That's not true at all People who genuinely think that IWW is better than illmatic don't know shyt about rap. As for Jay, it really depends on who you're asking. A lot of people who have listened to rap from just ten years ago will probably tell you that RD is his best album hands down (Lots of accolades + Jay been hyping it hard), can't tell you what the older heads would say tho As for Cube, both of his albums are average as fukk, no wonder his fans can't determine which one is better.

If there is only one album that all your fans point to and ALL say is the best then your discography is probably lacking.

I fukk with Ye and all but CD just isn't a classic to me. Too campy, low key corny for my taste like work out plan and family business. That song with freeway dated af as well as the whole album really. Only song on there I can re visit is Last call.
