Most Nas fans think he has several classics and like I said there is a faction that says IWW. Nas has a few albums that are on the same level or very close to Illmatic. I’m talking more about someone like Snoop who EVERYONE points to Doggystyle as his best album by leaps and bounds and none of his other albums come close really. He has good to great albums and more classic songs but nothing is touching his debut

if we go through OPs examples of other rappers having a "best", there are even some disagreements there. i know a lot of people who would put:

Aquemini > ATLiens
MATW > AEOM
Low End Theory > Midnight Marauders
Take Care / NWTS > IYRTITL

and there are other rappers who do have classics or at the very least GOOD albums that have a divide on what their consensus best album is (Redman first 3, Ghostface first 2, Ice Cube first 2, JAY Z and Common's big 3). and the hip hop community tends to push MBDTF to the top more often than not

so tl;dr I gotta say I disagree with the premise that OP brings up
