7.6 PPG, .417% shooting, 2 RPG, 1.3 APG, 15 minutes per game. guess whose rookie numbers' those are brah. i love this myth that if a player isn't a legend right out of the gate then there's no hope.

and i'm saying you don't need to be great right out of the gate to BECOME great. Wiggins works hard, he has crazy athleticism and the boy has shown flashes of greatness. yes, they were only flashes, but when he has it going on it's at a whole other level and you can see what he's capable of. he struggles with what a lot of rookies struggle with coming into the league, which is basically his jumper, assertiveness, and making the smart cuts and plays to get open. one thing he does have going for him is that his defense is amazing, especially for a rookie, and so many people overlook that like it's to be expected or something when in reality what he's showing on the defensive end is in fact really special.

lavine is even more raw than Wiggins, his shot can be streaky but he's nowhere near ready to play point and do it well consistently. putting up assists =/= running the offense to its full potential. there's a reason he's gotten fewer and fewer minutes the last few games and it's again because mo just simply runs that offense a lot better than lavine does.

and those rookie numbers are Kobe's. His second season wasn't anything super amazing either, although both seasons he came off the bench, but it again shows that you don't need need to play like a superstar right away to quickly become one.

I know those were Kobe numbers, and I will say again Wiggins is no Kobe,Lebron or KD, never will be

Darius Miles averaged 9&5 on 50% shooting from the Field his rookie year and what became of him? For every player who had decent rookie numbers and went on to be GREAT I can give you 10 players who went on to be bums or average, Im going by what I see with my own two eyes, not stats and could be stats that alot of yall are doing with this Wiggins guy.

Lavine is raw and not a pure PG, but how many are in todays game? He fits the mold of all the non traditional scoring PG's, crazy athletic and the ability to rack up assist, he cant run an offense I agree but he's 19, and getting better and better, I put the stats up, only thing Lavine is lacking in to Wiggins is scoring, but he's playing fewer minutes, there is no landslide between them like yall making it seem, they both suck right now if you want to be honest.

I just feel Lavine is better and will continue to be the better of the two, there's nothing Wiggins is doing that just automatically makes comparing Lavine to him irrelevant, like yall doing

He's been up and down this year but he's shown real good things on the road trip they are on and it helps that the team is finally settling in to a rotation with their wing players. He and Shabazz are learning how to play together and those two on the wing is going to be tough to defend especially when Rubio gets back and if Wiggins can keep hitting 3's like he's been.

He has a legit back to the basket game which not many 19 year olds have with his athleticism would ever think to work on. He's going to get stronger which will help him more on the post and getting to the line and finishing. But he's starting to figure out how to assert himself offensively in positions that he can score from instead of creating.

He'll have his raw ability, he'll have his step back jumper, he'll have his turnaround, he'll have his defensive awareness and thats before assuming any kind of development to his weaknesses. I dont think anyone had realistic expectations of him scoring 20 ppg or anything close. I think he is right where we thought he would be, maybe a little behind but the flashes he's shown are becoming more and more regular.

Breh... these Wiggins fanatics don't have facts/production on their side. They only can come with this potential bullshyt, when in actuality, his production has never meet the level of potential they talk about.

That's why they wait till he has a good series of scoring games, no matter if the stats are empty of not, to bump threads like this.

Arguing with people like this is pointless. They have no facts in their side. 13/1/3 on 40% as a #1 scoring option is somehow a loss for me. Hilaaaarious :laff:

Be 6'8 #1 pick and shoot 40% overall brehs even though you're shooting 39% from the 3 point line

:laff: :laff: :laff:

Think about that. This cat is so far from matching his hype that it's ridiculous that I have make posts like this to support the obvious.

You nikkas be living in fantasy land with this dude. I ain't even really harping on his lack of impact to get Ws. I'm actually giving you clowns a break!

Bruh he s 19 and played 30 some games

He's showing promise as of late....

You gon look like a fool when that young nikka put it together.

He won't be a generational talent like he was hyped to be but he will be a perennial all star along with elite D
