There have been a lot of whispers that Eric Bieniamy won't land a HC job again this year

There's a poster on a Jets forum I'm on that is plugged in (has connections to people within the Jets as well as around the league). Apparantly Bieniemy has interviewed poorly with everyone. This is what he said...
Can’t interview for shyt

This is a gatekeeper tactic. At a certain point the resume should speak for itself. You can't tell me that he's failing interviews so badly they're ignoring his role in one of the goat offenses of all time.

There's something else. If they don't wanna claim it's race then there's something else in his past, but I'm not letting them get away with blaming interviews when Freddie fukking Kitchens got a head coaching gig.

It's safe to assume people associate Belichick with NE's success in defense the same way they associate KC's offense success with Reid. And yet Flores was hired with just one year under Belichick as his DC:manny:

with how much the commentators be bringing up/showing Beli son on the sidelines you'd think he was the defensive coordinator.
but i think another defensive coach Mayo did get an interview for the eagles job.

:manny: it's effective. Titans been one of the highest scoring, most efficient offenses the last two years.

He also had Derrick Henry.

We need to talk about how multiple head coaches got gigs on the backs of running talented players into the ground.

Lafleur and Taylor got the Packers and Bengals gig destroying Gurley. Lafleur also got a bump from Henry and now gets to coach Aaron Rodgers. Smith rode Henry to a HC job and will probably get to handpick his next QB. Stefanski rode Cook into a gig running Chubb and Hunt into the ground.

Don't get me started on how they tag offensive geniuses as all young white dudes, but pretend like Mahomes was drafted as a 100% sure shot and wasn't developed by Bienemy and only Andy Reid does the heavy lifting yet Jared Goff's QB coach who didn't even actually coordinate the offense or call actual plays is a HC now.

If Eric gets a HC job it'll be at a place where he's destined to fail and they'll get rid of him after a few years like they do the rest of the black coaches. If I was him I'd secure that top-tier OC bag and just kick my feet up and let Mahomes do all the heavy lifting.

Black coaches have to be extraordinary to have longevity as HC. Ask Tomlin, he's the winningest coach after Beli and some people think he's not good enough lol.

Sean Payton literally had Saints or Raiders.

Good coaches do what they do.

This sounds like a lot of subliminal "we don't think he's smart enough" cac talk.

Regardless of how bad he may interview, less qualified cacs have gotten a chance to fail. Its funny how a black coaching candidate needs to be perfect to get a shot.

I think Mayo will get a HC job before son Belichick. Mayo was looked at as a leader the first day he stepped into that Patriots locker room as a rookie. And when Belichick hired him to coach he was hired to be a positional coach (LB) which never happens. Usually Belichick's hires start out at the bottom like an assistant. He's a highly thought of dude in the Patriot organization.

If anything HCs have to lead men and if you don't have that kind of quality about you it don't matter if you're a genius X's and O's guy. That's why a guy like dikk LeBeau, as good as a DC he is, never got a second chance at being a HC.

At this point, it feels like with him it actually has to be how he interviews.

Like, i can't think of a minority candidate who has ever had more press than him and people on record pushing for him to get a HC gig....and people still aren't hiring him.

There's got to be some owners who are going in going 'this would be good PR to hire him' and then he still leaves without a job. He must just really not instill confidence that he can run a team top to bottom or something. Like...I know who Flores is cuz im a Pats fan, and I never thought he'd get a gig before Bieniamy.

Give any OC Mahomes, that offense and Reid and they’ll put up numbers

I’d take Marvin Lewis and other people including Arthur Smith(at least he has the Tannehill resurrection) over EB

It is what it is .

I'm going to concur 100%

Ability to communicate with the brass is key. I'm black and I just got hired by a 60 year old German CFO to be her right hand man as the controller. It's how you interview brehs. When it comes to these things, winning tends to matter a lot more than the color of your skin. Don't get me wrong, cism will never die but one thing I've learned as I continue to go up this corporate ladder is that as long as you can do the job, they don't give a damn who you are.
