what is most interesting to me is the fact that i wasn't at one point...and then i was. i just came into existence. the only difference between when i was not existing and now is time.

Flip the concept that as a body...as a personality we are somehow a container for a spirit. When I said earlier that adding a "dimension" to 3D is like adding spatial awareness what is already there, what I mean is you stop feeling less like a "container" for consciousness and more like the space, itself. Your field of awareness now encompasses more than than your legs, arms and whatever external stimuli you bring into it with the senses.

Water vapor is EVERYWHERE, even if it slows down enough to take a solid form, it's not holding the water within itself to maintain that shape...it's still very much contained by the invisible water that surrounds it.

I think we agree if i understand you right....but when you talk about the body being a container I feel like maybe your downplaying the power of the container....anything you can do now with your spirit doesnt matter in the sense you still have a living container....i cant assume without a living brain(body) that the spirit has all the same functions and power.....we dont know the full connection the spirit has with the container itself,they may be tied together on a deeper level then one just being a container for the other.

It's really not that serious.. think about what you remember before you knew of your existence.. that's right.. that's the only reference you have to what death might be like.. Not saying it's set in stone.. for all we know this existence could just be a prerequisite for something much larger, but only those that's already made that journey knows.. or don't know depending on what happens when they crossed that line.

The idea that many people have about the "soul" is really from the perspective of the body and personality construct which says that we are housing some sort of ethereal spark within us. I don't see it that way.

If you go to a movie theater and sit down to watch a film, the screen in front of you isn't holding the images. It's being projected from the booth behind you.

As a personality (body included), you are a projection, or an extension from the soul/soul mind. You don't house that spark anymore than your television houses the images that play on them. THAT is the full connection you speak of.

As for the power and function of spirit without a body.

If you want a detailed look at what's happening with microscopic objects, you go and get a microscope right? There's something about that world that interests you enough that you feel the need to immerse yourself in it to investigate the moving parts. It's not a requirement to know what's going on "down there"...you exist regardless...even if you remain oblivious to the fact that there are worlds of activity that you're participating in.

The human body is like the ultimate microscope. It gives "spirit" the ability to observe the dense, material world in finer detail.

Nah not that religious bullshyt but another plane of existence another dimension. With the whole the universe is a projection model that's come out and the multiple dimensions of reality I think your soul or conciousness moves to another dimension after death.
