LOVE Cormega....but he's been in interviews saying he's not as good as Nas :yeshrug:

I mean, you posted a Hi-Tek joint, Nas has even done a doper song on another Hi-tek album :pachaha: There's just a gap between the two:

(quote might be off, it's from that Hi-Tek joint if I'm not mistaken):

"What I noticed was pure music untampered with by things showbiz does
Older thugs showed us stuff like how to hold a plug
Juice from the streetlight it almost could've blown us up" :ahh:

When Mega rhymes it sounds like the n1gga is trying really hard to get his point across. Like a kid rhyming in the mirror to himself before school tryna build confidence. On some " n1ggas try to touch me they get shot wet up the whole block Nas tried to tell me to stop" then that industry beat starts creepin back in. Pops walks in and he's like wow son u sound ok all u gotta do is sharpen up your flow and you'll be decent one of these days.

it's called deference. Nas IS more gifted. But Mega did more with less. And that EARNS my respect. Nas aint shyt to me, breh. I i know yall love this nikka. I hate him.

They are both great, I have Nas higher in my list due to the body of work, but Mega with what he has done has some great albums too. If Mega had released more material I do feel it would be a lot closer, but as he hasn't yet have to give it to Nas, will see what happens in the future. I do agree that Mega Philosophy was better than Life Is Good though, even though I fukked with Life Is Good too, MP was just more consistent and cohesive to me overall.

Like I said, Nas is clearly the more polished and complete rapper but Mega has made way better music for a long period of time. I can't even remember the last time Nas dropped an album better than anything Mega dropped in the last 15 years. Lost Tapes? Stillmatic is cool but it ain't classic or nothing.

And Nas is the 3rd best rapper of all-time to me, but most of that is based off his work from 1994-1999, that's how incredible that body of work is. But since around 2001 he's still been an excellent MC but a mediocre music maker.
