The Lost Tapes is like Nas third to fourth best album and it's better than Mega's best album.

While Mega was considered the best rhymer in QB before doing his bid he was a few years older and Nas eventually surpassed him as an MC and artistically.

Nas didn't steal Mega's style, Live at the BBQ sounds nothing like Cormega.

Albums are subjective...to me The Realness >>>>>> Any Nas album other than Illmatic/IWW (Which Cormega had something to do with either creatively or influence wise)

Nas stagnated as an artist years ago and has to rely on gimmicks and controversy to sell records while Cormega has grown and remained fresh

Comega in 1991...Sounds like a more advanced version of Nas at the time

Overall I'd go with Cormega because he writes his own shyt....Nas at his greatest had a lot of help....nikkas don't wanna hear that tho

The raw talent is undeniable

Receipts???

cormega said that nas stole "lifes a bytch godforbid the bytch divorce me, i be flooded wit ice so hellfire couldnt scorch me.."

i didnt believe it but it sounds like it could be a mega line. either way i dont fukkin care because cormega was on the same song with him. also according to mega its nas fault illwill died.

i am well versed in both artists and every tiny nuance and diss and taking sides is a fools choice; i break it down like this; mega is more street than nas but nas is more artistic then mega.

Meh, I like Mega but I'd probably take 3-4 Nas albums over Mega's best. You're hugely overstating Cormega's influence on Nas, Nas has by far been more influential in Cormega's career than vice versa.

How did Mega influence Illmatic and It Was Written? :stopitslime:

Nas put out a critically acclaimed album 18 years after his debut about 2 years ago so you can't say he hasn't aged well. Longevity is a strength of Nas's legacy.

Mega sounds like a Queensbridge MC stylistically in that song, his flow was iffy on there too. Early Nas sounds a lot more like Trag.

That's BS breh, receipts or I don't want to hear it. Nas writes his own shyt the greatest songs of his catalog were written by him and he has written for others, I don't care about Jay Elec and Stic Man rumors that have already been dispelled.

Fantastic post. Therapy means more to me than anything post Illmatic Schnoz has recorded.

Lines like these put my mind at ease....
