Every year, no excuses. If you make the playoffs, you were good enough to advance.

Yeah, I mean the Spurs do make the playoffs every year. When you've made it 18 years in a row, some first round losses are statistically probable, especially when you factor in injuries to stars, which you call excuses. Only 4 first round exits out of 18 is pretty damn impressive.

Maybe if the Lakers actually made the playoffs, they would lose in the first round more, like the last time they made it and got swept by the Spurs. Was any Laker player hurt in that series? I can't remember. Doesn't matter though...no excuses.
