Smh.
Uncharted pioneering cinematic gaming is not the same as saying "No other game had cienmatic set pieces ever.

If I said "Xbox Live pioneered online gaming for consoles.", it would be stupid of someone to say "Well PS2 had online gaming before Xbox breh."
:mindblown:
pi·o·neer
ˌpīəˈnir/
verb
past tense: pioneered; past participle: pioneered
  1. develop or be the first to use or apply (a new method, area of knowledge, or activity).
"he has pioneered a number of innovative techniques"

Making up your own definitions again I see :stopitslime:

Uhh yeah. Uncharted pioneered cinematic gaming. Other games before it didn't really nail it and UC2 did hence why UC2 pioneered cinematic gaming. You said other games before had set pieces. I said no other games before UC2 had that cinematic flair to the whole package.
Let's just stop playing around here. Who the hell you know was calling games before UC2 "Like a movie", "Cinematic". "Blockbuster summer like!"?? :stopitslime:
Nothing was labeled as such. When you think of cinematic "games" last gen, UC2 is most likely the first to be brought up. When you think of cinematic, you think of movie like features with Life like acting, cinematic angles, crazy action set pieces and story telling. Games before UC2 certainly weren't life like because there just wasn't anything able to do so.

If I said who pioneered online gaming, I KNOW you wouldn't say anything else other than Xbox LIve. Let's get all the way the fukk outta here.

Learn the definitions of words before you use them.

At best you can say it popularized that type of game, but even then there were plenty of games before it that were very popular in using that style.

Uncharted 2 pioneered cinematic gaming. I'm not taking back what I said, it makes sense. You still haven't named any game that was JUST like Uncharted 2 that came before it. At best you're just throwing out vague shyt like "Other games had explosions breh.... other games had voice acting man... Other games had third person shooting man.." and not naming any that did that while being actually authentic.

Please. Name me one game that was just like Uncharted 2 but didn't get the shine. That had film like cinematography, life like characters with top notch acting, blockbuster like set pieces all wrapped up in a polished package...

Go ahead.

I see by getting extremely technical with the wording semantics, it gets harder to prove anything. Just name me a game that was as impactful as UC2 was for what it was known for.

Say revolutionized.... Not pioneered....
It pioneered because wasn't shyt else like it that did all that in one package. Hence why pioneer is fitting.
It's like Gears didn't pioneer TPS because there was literally other TPS out before it. It revolutionized it. Halo didn't pioneer FPS on consoles, it revolutionized it.

UC2's whole style wasn't done before. Notice I don't mention UC1. UC1 was just like a blueprint. It wasn't fully there yet. UC2 really got the ball rolling.

i played that way after everyone else, and all i cared about was the story. fukk i look like playing cards :camby:

What are you complaining about?:dwillhuh: That's optional in a way that doesn't affect the game at all. Most of these Open World games force you to play endless side missions just to level up enough to continue the story. Red Dead didn't do that. The few side missions were integrated into the game and didn't take away from it. Plus hunting was fun as fukk.

Do you mean steering and escorting cattle?:mjlol: shyt was annoying, but it didn't take away from the overall experience.

Rustling is when outlaws would try to steal your friend's cattle and you had to get the back. Both were annoying though.

cod 4 used that cinematic stuff before uncharted 2
Yeah it had some set pieces here and there but it was still a plain ole FPS. UC2's cinematography was unrivaled. The realistic depiction of the characters, the banter in game and the over the top visuals really set it apart. COD4 just was a FPS with some parts to it. Idk what word to describe it but UC2 was just authentic. UC1 was almost there except it was light on set pieces and whatnot. UC2 really sealed the deal.

yea fam i understand you but cod 4 is the most influential game of the past 10 years, and has pretty much influenced the uncharted series in some ways. But u2 does have some weight and is authentic, and my fav game of all time
